The latest pictures have been awesome to see!

The slightly modified Azathoth sculpt still looks too clown-like for my tastes.  I don't regret my decision to pass on it.

Personal taste is always interesting. I know there will be people that paint it up purposefully as a clown, but I think it has some great potential.

Shipping seems likely to start for the US tomorrow. Apparently, Australia already has started.

Huh - that's not the Nodens I was picturing, at any rate. <_<

Lovecraft described him as a gnarled and hoary old man - grey beard and all.

Also, one of the nicer gods in the Mythos.

I love this sculpt, but I admit I didn't know anything about Nodens prior to this. I will try and ask around about the inspiration.

I do trust that Sandy thought it through. Not many know more about the mythos than the guy that made Call of Cthulhu.

Here is what Sandy said about Nodens:

"Nodens is described as humanoid and old, emerging from a sea shell. He also has a metal hand. Our Nodens is well within those descriptions though obviously we’ve extremified it. A beardo in a chariot does not fit Cthulhu Wars. If people still want to believe in a “santa claus” Nodens tell them our sculpt is his true form, rather than the benign shell he sometimes wears."

So, Sandy Peterson said 'Screw Lovecraft, Imma make Nodens a monster?'

Sorry Sandy - that is just plain dumb. And, no, that... thing... is not 'well within the description'.

More along the lines of 'absolutely nothing like the description'.

If Nodens as described does not fit your game, then leave him out.

Cool monster - not Nodens.

Not perfect, but definitely not worth pitchforks. They were packed in the boxes pretty much how they have been for any of their products.

I backed his last project (dice towers), and found them well worth what ended up being a long wait to get them. It seemed only right to share, 'cause he makes REALLY PRETTY THINGS. Go look.

I have me a bit of a dubious, largely because I'm not certain these will, in fact, work for anybody. But. Still.. the concept is pretty damn cool.

"Tilt Five is a whole new way to play games, in Augmented Reality (AR), with freaking holograms!
When you slip on the Tilt Five glasses and look at the game board, a vibrant 3D world opens up to you.  Suddenly chasms seem to drop infinitely into your table, and game characters and monsters spring up from the game board.  This is gaming unlike anything you've experienced before.
"When we started designing the Tilt Five system our focus wasn't on the technology for technology's sake.  We wanted to provide an amazing gaming experience that blends the things you love about video games and board games. And we wanted it to be just as fun when playing solo, together with your friends, or even when you're apart."  Jeri Ellsworth, Co-Founder & CEO "

Be interesting to see if this lives up to itself.
