That was my reaction too.

I love the turtle, but the tail is oddly rigid, and artificial looking.

It could have a bit of a curve that isn't visible from this camera angle. It looks like the tip of it might curve slightly to the turtle's left.

Huzzah!

Reaper's in Texas, like me.  The dinner plate won't be small, y'all!

Unless it's a 28mm scale dinner plate. ::o:

Wonder what it would look like with a ninja mask.

Could I stack Baba Yaga's hut on its back?

It might be a 3d model that hasn't been completely posed yet, similar to the Frost Giants in Bones III.  Or not.  Hard to say except that I doubt Reaper would produce a dragon turtle on a spit for us >.>

No turtle on a spit?

What about soup? I could go for dragon turtle soup.

Its like the recipe book my players found, with a recipe for scrambled eggs.  The instructions started "First, find a dragon that matches the flavor you want to impart to the dish.  For a beginner, we recommend the white dragon egg which tastes quite bland.  Next, politely ask what gender the dragon is.  Avoid males!"

I assume +/- 2 weeks from GenCon.

Maybe ...

I just hope they don't kind of spring the actual launch on us without at least a little warning. Even a heads up a couple days before the launch would be nice.

Reaper always does a count down page... So you will know the exact second it will launch.

Not really? I mean we printed it in a couple of different sizes, to see which ones worked best for packaging, looked better, and [manufacturing logistics and mold making diatribe here].

@Reaperbryan I see, so the final size is still being finalized? Are you able to tell us which sizes you tried out? I'm really hoping it will be big enough to use as a proper DnD dragon turtle! Anyway, thanks for the info!

Based on the size of the items on the base I would think this is a very small dragon turtle, still very deadly but small for dragon turtles.

Perhaps Reaper could have it in two sizes one BIG and one BIG

I'm not sure if this an actual model or a rendered image.

The real thing might differ somewhat in the end if it's a rendered image.

Eyeballing the size of the barrels and amphorae on the base as probably being ~1/2" long, that's put the dragon turtle around 3-4" long.  Big enough for most purposes I would have, but not something in the same class as the BIG dragons of late.
