Backing as early as possible gets you in on a lower wave. reaper ships in wave order, so yeah back quickly!

Reaper has been so fast with fulfillment once the product gets to their warehouse that it is only a matter of days between the start and end of shipping.  So don't get all wound up if you are in wave 3 or 4 or 7.  You get your stuff pretty fast once they begin delivery. Just be aware that it is likely to be a year or more before that happens.

I got my wave 1 about 12 days before my friend in the same town got his wave 7. 12 days of waving my delicious bones in front of him. Mmmmm

Where was it said that US based shipping wouldn't be covered this year? I thought I'd followed this thread and the Bones 3 thread pretty closely, but I don't remember seeing any specific communication about it until the comments today, none of which are from Reaper. Can someone provide me with the actual statement, or when it was stated?

That's a whole basket of nope. I was delighted to be honored by Gene and Ron with a production miniature of myself, but I do not feel that the model would perform well in Bones, as "tubby gamer nerd with beard and glasses" is hardly a common RPG archetype, heroic or villainous. Although, I will award free hugs to any game group that uses the miniature of me as the big bad evil guy in their campaign, and I don't morph into a kanji of any kind.

Yeah, just found it. Well, that sucks. I know RoW already has to pay for it, but it's going to cut into the budget and what I can get, and it seems weird that I can get free shipping on any regular order, but not on a KS order that's orders of magnitude bigger.

 

It is what it is, though. My Bones 3 box was huge, and I imagine there was a not insignificant cost associated with it. Just means I won't be pledging as much in the long run.

.... There gonna be an early bird special? Any news on the exact time this is dropping so I can ensure myself a slot on said early bird special? I missed the party of bones 3 I won't be missing 4. I thought I might just go casual or even potentially have someone talk me out of it, but then I saw dragon turtle and my wallet burst into tears.

If it like the previous ones, pledges will be in waves and the earlier waves shop out earlier.

 

Time was given as 12cst, I believe.

 

By my count that is just under 38 hours away...

If it is anything like the last three Bones KS, Reaper doesn't do early birds that give you a discount, but the earlier you pledge, the earlier you ship.  Depending where you are situated in the world, be aware that the wave shipping has broken down for the ROW backers in nearly every shipping period.

You're in the wrong area if you wanted to be talked out of this. ^.^

 

Reaper hasn't done early birds and start time is planned for 12 CST.

When you get right down to it, everyone paid shipping before it was just bundled into the pledge values of all the stuff.  But it's more transparent to just charge everyone shipping costs, that way you don't have to keep explaining to the ROW that they've got a hidden shipping discount that equals the free shipping the US pledges get.
