She is a GORGEOUS creation...a BEAUTIFULLY expressive face is the highlight of some deft brushwork. Your color choices are WONDERFULVERY WELL DONE!

Awe... again that coppery bronze color is amazing. It fits perfectly over the dark leather.

Thanks!

I really like your color scheme on her. She turned out wonderfully. Seems like you had better luck than I did on her face (mine is still WIP); you got hers very smooth. The eyes on mine are alright but not as smooth as yours. Tough to do with the cloak clogging up the area!

I'm not going to lie, painting her face was very tricky because of the hood. I painted the inside of the hood and lined the edge of the face in black so that I didn't have to poke too far in there with my brush.

The effect really works though. Looks completely intentional.

Started these at the same time I did the Middenheimers. One is based on Astrid from Skyrim, the other on an old coworker whom the sculpt resembled. Victory two of the challenge thus far.

Overall I'm happy with how they came out. again I went with a simple grey stone base in case I rebase them in the future.

      "Dine and dash, eh?!"
"The Dark Brotherhood eats for free!"

The cloak could've come out better, but I'm more concerned with clearing the Shelf of Incompleteion currently.

A couple more of my recent tabletop paints.  Female on the left in gold and red came out of Bones 4.  She is in a leaning pose.  The one on the right is Deladrin, female assassin, roughly painted as a catfolk rogue.  Both figures were done with a traditional basecoat, drybrush and wash/ink technique. I did some NMM for the swords.

This is yet another of my metal trade bin finds! I picked him out because he looked like he was wounded, and I love minis in poses other than at-arms. It turns out that he's clutching a dagger on his chest, and not a wound. Also, I'm spoiled by Reaper's wonderful faces. This one is a little bit flat, though that may be due to being in the bin. Anyway, not my best work, but I painted this in a few hours!

Following the conclusion of Storm King's Thunder, our group has started The Curse of Strahd, and I decided to play a thief. Going through my collection of minis, the River Widow mini from ReaperCon called out to me. As usual, after cleaning the few bits of flash and mold lines, I paused... How did I want to base her. I've made extensive use of the Ruined Temple Courtyard stamp from Happy Seppuku... but for this game I decided that I was going to use the Fishscale brick pattern which I'd picked up during their Black Friday sale. I clipped the tab connecting her feet, leaving only 2 spikes from each foot to anchor her into the greenstuff.

Once the greenstuff had cured, I glued her in place, and after waiting for the superglue to dry, I primed her with Reaper's Brown Liner. I then immediately tackled her eyes, trying to mirror what Derek did on his.  Seriously check this out, it's amazing...

So... I didn't quite achieve this, but it's probably the closest I've ever managed. Also I don't have a camera (or the skill) to capture a pic of this quality.

I basecoated her flesh with Ruddy Flesh, and then used Tanned Shadow on top of that. The bodice is based with Rich Indigo with Burgundy Wine over it. Her hair and lips are Auburn Shadow.

So far, so good, but I've got a lot more work to go.

Meet Ernie Baggage! Leader of the Red Cloaks: a mercenary band who travel from town to town seeking adventure and glory!
Or they are just murder hobos. Time will tell.
The 07004: Dungeon Dwellers: Stitch Thimbletoe, Halfling Thief painted in Autumn palette with NMM and Texture/Freehand. Even comes with the chest of gold!

Keep both eyes on this guy.
