Thanks! The blending has been both fun and frustrating. I like the color transitions that I am getting but it definitely has been a challenge learning how to use the Scale 75 F&G line. They are great for the blending but did not cover that well for the base coat so I have some areas of black peeking through which have resisted my attempts to cover up. I am not sure if it is just the way the paint is or if I did not mix it enough. I could have done a few more layers of the base but it was getting too thick for my taste so I started on the blending. Now I am toying with the idea of weathering to cover some of it up except I have not done it before and I really like the clean look. Also if I made a mistake, it would be difficult to correct. 

 

I was thinking brown for the straps/belts as well, also the boots. I was also considering black or grey but it was just not working in my mind. I am planing a blue black on the cloths so I felt the black or grey would disappear too much against the cloth and stand out too much against the armor.

I have to remember when I get home tonight to take a picture that shows his gun better as I am really happy with how it turned out. The only thing that is bugging me still is the base. I wish I had been able to bring more of his colors into the base but that really did not work with the bright colors of his armor. The rocks do have some glazes of blue, the plants are the same colors as his leather, and I did the red dirt to bring in a similar color but I don't know if it is enough. I may be stressing over nothing and it may all be due to that it is a departure from what I had planned originally, that was an epic fail, I just need to get these thoughts out of my head.

Thanks! The Dark Sword elf will be finished sometime this week. I thought I had posted more progress pics on her but it looks like I haven't, I will remedy that tonight if I remember to. The assassin along with the Crimson Herald, unfortunately have had to be set aside. They will be finished sometime but they were the two planned ReaperCon entries that I had to sacrifice to make sure I finish everything else.
