Well done on the Jedi! The OSL look good too! I'm enjoying your choice in colors for this one. I painted mine to match the game card.

Thanks!

Oddly, I thought I was matching the game card.

The red is a lot more orange than brick in the pics.

Overall, the saber blade was my least favorite part of this mini.

I think  your base colors for the character are a little to bright for the light saber to really "shine". the saber needs a range of visible shades (with a white center line), but still must be lighter than the surrounding material so it appears to glow (with OSL). The light clothing as the backdrop compresses your contrast ratio / dynamic range, making this difficult to achieve.

It is really excellent, none the less. Ive been chipping away at SW characters too, and they are really fun. this is inspiring work you've done.

I've been painting up a lot of Starcadia Quest.

It only seems fitting to start out with the Star Wars characters. For most of my Starcadia Quest, I went with a Borderlands style- with lots of black lining against bright colors and even black hard edging to create that Borderlandish look. I plan to convert a few Starcadians into Borderlands characters as well.
Also, it just seemed right to start out with the Star Wars inspired characters.

If any of you have looked at the Hero forge interesting creature builds you may recall me posting some pictures of a squad of commandos called Crusader squad. Let’s just say I succumbed to the temptation to get the stls for my printer.
Currently I only have four printed off. I’ll do the rest when I get them supported.

      Bombedier

Shadow, I didn’t get his arms supported right so I’ll try to do some repairs to them. If it works I don’t think I’ll print a replacement.

      Thunderhead

Max Monova. I really didn’t like his original stance so I redid it and gave him two pistols instead of a pistol and gauntlet blade.

      Primer

Added some black green and some blue to Monova’s pauldron.
      Thanks for looking!

Painted this one for a friend who is obsessed with the Child from the Mandalorian. It’s a 3D print that I got from a shop on Etsy.

Just pulled these out of the drawer.  One of these Orcs was next in line on the Bones I Kickstarter Rewards image, so I’ll try to squad-paint them together to save time. They have been cleaned of mold lines.  The spearman’s spear was very bent, as was the great sword.  So, those got weapon swapped with basic weapons from Bones 3.  Those are darker grey.  Washed them, so just waiting for them to dry.  Also had to gap fill spearman’s wrists.

Well, looks like Hasbro is doing their own version of a kickstarter for a new release of one of the all-time classics.  I don't know if their site for the crowdfunding would be considered as a commercial site, but I'm sure it will be easy enough to find.  I'm in!
