Reaper Bones 4: Enthusiasm and Commentary Thread

I thought that Reaper made the giants larger between bones 3-4 though to make them more true to 'huge'? Or am I getting KSs mixed up with minis sizes changing...

You are, 3 had the new Frost Giant sculpts and the re-scaled Fire Giants.  They are definitely Huge by 5E means, but then Wizkid's "Storm King's Thunder" pre-paint minis set came out and made the Giants much larger than previous sculpts (even in 5E)

So, the female Frost Giants will be his daughters, not his wife and sister.

Ah, well. ::):

The Auld Grump - am I the only person that really liked the P-65 Frost Giants that Reaper had for a while? To me, they looked more primal.

Do you mean like 03431: Svetlana, Frost Giant Princess? I love that mini. I have her in Bonesium...

I did too, I was sad the Grunts never made it to Bones and are discontinued instead.  They had an Inuit feel.

I also was never able to acquire Pachylox, who suffered the same fate:

He has some cousins in Bones now, at least.

Personally I like the current look of the frost giants. I much prefer realistic looking weapons to things like Boerogg's ice sword or whatever it is.

My wife was totally on board with backing the kickstarter (and even personally picked some out like the dragon turtle) but I'm not sure she understands how large of a box it takes to ship 20 minis.

Mine has seem the pictures of the Bones 3 box with the corgis on it. I... Don't think she realizes that spending on 4 was more than on 3...

I just ran the numbers... It's a 36% increase over Bones 3...

This is what happens when I'm not properly distracted by an update!! :lol:

Well, IF I do do it for my son, I could make it removable and make a few casts, I mean at that point I'd want one for mine too, right.  So...who knows?

      As I backed Brayan's previous KS but never got my files (I got a email in regards to this KS) but a quick email response & I had my file that I backed + a bonus file. Love the look on the minis. The goblins can be new PC gobs for ReaperCon We Be Goblins. Love the Oriental dragon as well.

      It's a great project I was happy to be involved with, doing some of the FDM print testing.  Everything looks great and prints well!
