Personally, I get more out of text reviews, since I can more easily skim and reference the material. 

 

You may also want to discuss how well Bones Black is for specific models (eg. is it better than original Bones for human-sized figures).

Based on that, I think I'll hold off on unboxing. I'll still probably take a bajillion pictures.

Definitely even better in person. I’m pretty happy with Bones Black being used for human sized minis.

It may cut down on my metal buying.

I went through the KS updates to get nearly all of the pictures of the minis. We had some previews with Sir Forscale in late 2018-early 2019, and the name of the sculptors.

 

It's a time consuming job, but my database for Bones 4 is almost done.

Ok, I worked through my list and my per/figure cost is $1.52 each . . . 

 

That included everything . . . The kobolds, the dvd, the gargoyle/braziers/skulls/Orbd/Mystic Orbs, bases, DVD, Talan's art book, kitchen sink . . . .

My bones were last seen in Lexington (Kentucky). They haven't been checked in anywhere since very early Saturday morning, but that's no surprise.

Thank you, both of you. It's good to see that the weird shape of the back of the scabbard is how it's supposed to be and not a mold issue. Or maybe it's both. And I agree with you, @Cranky Dog. I don't like how the shield arm has changed from the originals, though it probably couldn't be helped.

From left to right: Wizkids Griffon, Bones Griffon, and Bones 4 Griffon

 

The Bones 4 body is slightly leaner, but the wingspan is close to the same as the Bones Griffon. Wizkids is tiny and scrunched.

 

Owlbears!

 

 

In order of appearance: Wizkids owlbear, Bones Crazy Larry, Bones Black owlbear,  Bones 4 owlbear.

 

think I'm going to have the Wizkids figure be the father, Bones Black the Mother, and Bones 4 the fledgling. Bones Crazy Larry is the weird uncle.

 

All I need now is the Darksword owlbear cubs!

Hmm, by the numbers, excluding paints and art book, I come up to $1.83 per miniature.

 

If I used goblin math, I'd have 20 miniatures for $20... so $20/miniature.  Uhm... I'll stick with the regular math.
