Yeah, if I had contemplated what exactly those 50lb boxes entailed I would have bought some stock in Locktite before this thing started to ship.

To my surprise, yes. And not just attached. Molded with the bases.

And yeah, for anyone who doesn't have them yet, definitely buy glue, there is lots to assemble. I can share my inventory list if ppl want to know what comes/doesn't come assembled in the core/expansion sets (printouts of the core/expansion set graphics with handwritten notes on them)

My guess is that it was a factory problem.

Just finished inventorying mine, and opened up my Modern Scenics to check.  I got 3 of them, and ALL three were missing the 3rd barrels.

New material looks pretty great! Lots of good stuff. Haven't had time to open the core yet, let alone start an inventory, but it's all so fun to look at!

 

The new Bonesium seems prone to shattering, though, and I'm seeing some problems where air got into the mold. Stone giant missing the middle of his arm, the chicken hut missing part of a doorframe (and some of the corners broke off and escaped). Big angry elephant from Lost Valley had his club snap. In a few years, when I'm done with the inventory, I'll shoot Reaper an email about it!  We're missing a few other things besides (wraiths, giant snake statue so far). 

 

I'm a little nervous about some of the pre-assembled stuff. The huge spider being glued to its base is the worst so far. 

 

Argent is amazing but not as amazing as the roc. (Which is good news for me, since I got three!) Inventorying the barge without a parts list is both exciting and daunting. 

 

The skeletons from, I think, Fan Favorites are really excellent.

This is almost all of the minis that fit in trays this size (other than the modern stuff that I didn't order):

 

 

Everything else is too large to reasonably fit in these types of trays...and there is a lot left that were too big to fit in these trays.

Done going through everything. The only problems I found were:

• Dreadmere #415 has no base (as previously reported). I normally make my own bases, so not a problem.
• Dreadmere #437 (Peryton) has two torsos. Unfortunately probably not enough there to really work for an sort of modding.
• Lost Valley - One of the giants has a broken pre-glued arm. Trivial to fix.
• Chronoscope #308 One of the guns is broken. Again a trivial fix.
• Fantasy Scenics - On the Astrolabe, one of the rings didn't quite fill, so there's a gap. I don't anticipate any problem fixing that either.

So other than the missing Mossbeard that I mentioned earlier, no problems that I'm going to worry about getting help from Reaper.

 

Some remarkably good stuff here. I don't regret getting anything, even the chicken hut with the glued on legs, since it's so cool. If they come out with another version without glued legs, I might buy one, just as a hut, but given the mass, it will probably not be worth it to me to get a second one even then.

 

The Roc is amazing. All three of him. And both Argents are hunormous and beautiful.

I'm undecided about the new material. I have looked at 43 minis so far and I have 3 broken parts. Frost raider hilt broken in baggie, rock troll foot in the baggie, and the jungle king with his tusk, which is missing. The jungle king comes in a box, but the plastic insert was broken inside the packaging. =(

I like it quite a bit. Except where minis are partially assembled in such a way as to make painting or finishing the assembly difficult.

 

Please don't glue the minis if you're not going to do the work to glue them right!

I looked at it. Made sure I had what I could figure out were the necessary pieces, then decided, "The rest must be right." 

 

If I find out later that something is missing, I'll contact Reaper then.
