I'm not sure where you're seeing this?  From the cut pieces it's quite obvious that there are sockets in the hut and "pins" for the legs, not flat mating surfaces...

I am picturing it, visualizing it, imagineering it.

A different way it could have been designed. No sockets. The legs have a flat plate at the top of the drumstick. The bottom of the Hut ...flat. One flat surface that glued to another.

Hey @Crowley, thank you for linking your Bones spreadsheet!

I started doing a detailed inventory last night. I've finished... about two and a third expansions so far. No add-ons done, and I haven't even cracked open the core set yet. So far I've found extra bits for two miniatures and I'm missing a base on that crazy zombie thing that everyone's missing the base from. Haven't gotten to the bits that I know are broken yet, of course. We'll have some of that.

The detail is really amazing and it's a lot easier to see than the pure white stuff. So far I'm pretty excited.

Losing a third of a dragon hurt though. ;(

I think that means the new shipment is in and they've reset the queue?

No.

Sometimes an order glitches and has to be reset in order to be completed.  Then it shows up on the tracker and everyone gets all excited.

Most likely that or a missorted box or three were uncovered.  My lunch company would have canceled if there was a container today.

Yeah, but this is a pretty major loss. He's supposed to be Bahamut vs Ma'al Drakar's Tiamat. Being significantly smaller than her is not what I bought him for.

Edit: This is definitely one of those times where clear communication or explanation from Reaper would be appreciated... I wonder if it's worth emailing Reaper's Help line about this at all...

I'm not sure what they could do about it...

BEGIN SPECULATION

I wonder if the wings could have been the deciding factor. Like I mentioned before, they're enormous, and take up a lot of surface area when flat.

END SPECULATION

I know that things can and do change up until the finished models arrive at Reaper; however I do agree that knowing before he got to me that his size would be so different would have been nice.

Gotta say, I love how his head turned out though, that's my favorite part of the whole sculpt. He looks like a wise, patient grandfather who also won't put up with any of your nonsense.

Or perhaps like Kaladrax there was a miscommunication.....

Perhaps. I'm hesitant to speculate further without additional data. I think I might tune into the next Reaper Live to ask about it. I'll report back here if my question gets picked. :)

Okay, I'm back from the dentist. Time to do my Fan Favorites expansion post! :bday:

While this would work, it would only have the strength of the glue to support the 'connection'.  An actual connection like they have is always going to have far more strength than just two flat pieces glued together.

That leaves me even less hopeful about having attachable/detachable legs. It's possible to pin something like that but would be a hassle especially if I want them non permanent.

You have a perfecty matched pair of holes there. Cast a plug. Grease both bits with a thick layer of vaseline, and fill them make a hefty plug out of green stuff. When set this should make a perfectly fitting plug so you can have the legs on or off as you want.

I'm thinking that they just lowered the wings to maybe balance it out a little more. don't know in wave 4 with all 3 trio.

Definitely not it. The Argent advertised in the KS indicated it was 12" more or less from base to top of head.

That's definitely not 4" disparity between the top of the head and the top of that line. 1", maybe...

While I'm definitely disappointed, I do think a new sculpt for a Bahamut would be better, but I REALLY like this pose!

We also do need to keep in mind that Ma'al was $60 in the KS and T'rauzul was $20, just like Argent is now, and big T is on his hind legs, so Argent is still most likely bigger.

So I guess I'd take it as a wash, just promise me a full foot tall Bahamut, (NOT a Subway foot mind you) in the next round and charge like $30-$40 and color me happy.

I'll try to drop into the chat tonight and ask.
