Reaper Bones 4: Enthusiasm and Commentary Thread

So.. I'm looking at my Hut. My hut (it has three- wait, wrong song) .. my Hut stands pretty straight, all told. Fitting the cage into the little hole under the porch, the feets hang with a little bit of clearance.

Still. I don't like the under-porch gibbet. So, I'm thinkin', being the crafty woof that I am, maybe what I will do is nip the peg off, punch a little hole in it and put a ring through. I have lots of jump rings. Then; in various positions, as effective, I put some little hooks.

I might need some more carrion cages. <.<

Awesome Idea!

I won't steal that! I swear it upon my M.E.O.W. membership!

Thanks for asking and telling me about the EU shipping. Hopefully the arrival of the container on the 24th at Reaper UK means we will see shipping notifications going out in the week of the 29th. Normal Reaper orders from the UK store took 3 days to reach me, so I'm hopeful it's gonna be quick from there on out.

Yikes!

I'm on a citrytrip from May 2th till May 6th!

So it's likely to arrive when I'm not home.

Either one of the vixens might accept it, or it will be at a postal office by then where I need to pick it up.

I'd prefer to receive it myself so I hope it will arrive  just before or just after my citytrip.

I've had stuff from the UK arrive in either a few days or in three weeks.

Never understood the difference.

i wish their was a way to pay more for a larger version. since they have the 3d print files, maybe as optional goals if they do a Bones 5 for example, would be cool.

Oh, they'll probably do what they did with nethyrmaul and offer up a resin version of the full size at reapercon for $$$$. So the only way to get what was offered, and even demonstrated, is to be able to afford to go to reapercon and then be able to afford the resin model.

Be my guest. TAKE PICTURES! I want to see how yours comes out.

OMG. I just had a variant idea. I know how to make wrapped loops. Hold my mead, I'mma do a thing.

... I still want a resin Nethyrmaul. I has a mope, that I could not get one.

Heck, I'd take a Bonesium reprint! As long as I could get one.

The normal sized Nethyrmaul is still available in Bones.

It's really a big dragon as it is.

I am wave 6 with the frost giants, but i havent gotten an email stating its shopped.  Is something wrong?

They have shown up in spam folders, you might also want to check the pledge manager for your order and see if it shows as shipped there.

I was 4f, too much scar tissue, so I was working as a bouncer at a strip club and playing AD&D.

So I'm about half way through the inventory and assembly process and I've got a few reflections on this round of bones.

First, the quality of these miniatures blows the previous bones away. Seriously, it's like there's really no comparison. The details are so much better on both the regular bones and the bones black material. Also, the idea to ship them on sprues seems to be cutting down on severely warped figures for the most part. I primarily paint for the tabletop and like to be able to start slapping paint around without a lot of prepping the mini and these seem like they are going to facilitate that just fine.

On the other hand, it looks like QC at their manufacturing partner wasn't super great. So far I've found five minis that are either missing pieces or have the wrong piece included. I know once I finish going through everything and have a complete list of issues that Reaper will make it right. But it stinks thinking about all the money they're going to be throwing out correcting this for everyone. Also, that bones black is very breakable. I've got a space cowboy with two broken guns and a robot with a broken piece.

One other issue that I'm curious if anyone else ran into, one of my paints is pretty much empty. There's just enough paint to coat the inside of the bottle and that's it.

I'm a little on the disappointed side about Argent. But honestly it's a great figure and I would have gotten it at just about any size. I'm actually happy the hut has the legs so firmly in place. I was concerned it wouldn't stand well and I don't really want to remove them. But I get why others would be concerned.

Anyways, that's my reflections on this kickstarter. Hope Bones V isn't too far down the road.

Out of curiosity, does anyone still have the links to Bones 1 and bones 2 KS campaigns? I'm wave 14, and trying to kill time. :-D  I didn't get in until bones 3, so I know what all was in there.

This looks like a very interesting board game with lots of new, fresh ideas and cool artwork (and nice minis - there is even a pledge level for just the minis: around 15 of them for $20 plus shipping):

      About this project

It's a harsh but lucrative business being a mercenary out on the edge of civilization. You must explore the harsh wilderness and engage in deep tactical combat, where the decisions you make have an impact not only on your own character, but also the world around you.

Gloomhaven is cooperative game of card-driven combat set in a persistent fantasy campaign which will change and grow as you play the game.
There is always more to unlock and explore in the world of Gloomhaven.

If you missed the first Gloomhaven Kickstarter (and retail sold out quickly) here is your chance. I backed that game the first time around and could not be happier with the results. Warning ... that box is heavy ...

As I backed Brayan's previous KS but never got my files (I got a email in regards to this KS) but a quick email response & I had my file that I backed + a bonus file. Love the look on the minis. The goblins can be new PC gobs for ReaperCon We Be Goblins. Love the Oriental dragon as well.
