9 containers of superglue?!?

How Big was your order again?

I bought 1 new bottle of Gorrila Glue for assembly and to try out.

I have 2-3 open bottles of old assorted superglue that may be past their prime. And I still have a pair of epoxy glue bottles.

Im beginning to suspect this may not be enough.

Really like the sculpting on these, especially Mossbeard. What a monster!! I am disappointed that Argent is smaller than advertised. I must have missed an update or something because I unboxed and assembled him and was so disappointed that he wasn't 12" tall. Other than that, everything is awesome. If you didn't get the Barge, kick yourself. It's glorious and beefy. Probably should retail for at least $75.

It won't be. I haven't assembled much of the big stuff and I'm on bottle 2.5. Tons left to go. Won't be surprised if I hit 6-7 bottles at the end of everything.

I have primed and base coated my zombie dragon with the airbrush. Since I don't yet have precision with the airbrush, I just slathered him in one color and I'll brush over stuff next. I airbrushed his shadow-flesh color, Red Brick. Also sprayed that at Kally's flesh.

The zombie dragon's name is Meaty.

I must have had a smaller order, it only took me one bottle to get all mine together

I should name my zombie dragon. I have been calling him Ooey Gooey, I suppose that could be a name. We can give them a play date, they will be good friends

If “The Adventures of Meaty and Ooey-Gooey” doesn’t sound like a great kids’ book series I don’t know what does!

Book 1: “Meaty & Ooey-Gooey and the Tabletop of Misfortunes!”

Name him Gooey Kablooie and then sculpt a little hamster named Huey...

(wonder if anyone will know this)

Not sure I would use Gorilla Glue. It requires moisture to cure and expands as it does so if I'm thinking of the right stuff. I imagine that would ruin mini joints.

I'm also confused about the amount of superglue people are going through though. I'm not even 1/3 of the way through a new bottle of loctite and I have a lot assembled.

There is Gorilla super glue. The stuff I'm using is a gel but I think I prefer Loctite brand.

I've only done this one and can see potential Bones fatigue. I hope that there is a long pause before the next one. I'd probably hop in for Core, or $100 worth, without worrying too much. But I am a slow painter. Maybe I'll get a few done by the time the next rolls around? I think I'll be more careful on the expansions, and suggest that Sir Cyr and I not double up on a few items. Lost Valley is cool, but in hindsight, I probably shouldn't have bothered with it considering my usual interests and my D&D campaign. I'd happily just pick up individual parts later. We got two frost giant raiders, two rulers of hell, two Sophie & friends, and two spartans/amazons - I'm a slow painter, but Sir Cyr doesn't have as regular of interest. We could have waited on retail if he went "ooh I want those too". He wanted Nyarlothetep more than me (I think he's darn cool but I don't have a strong draw to him), but Sir Cyr will not likely paint him unless I nag forever. And okay, I probably don't need double DoDs for multiple volcano ideas.

That said, I'm getting Sir Cyr to paint some of the minitaurs this evening. Perhaps there is hope for getting him going too ^_^ I'm probably going to keep priming Bones with the airbrush for practice and perhaps get a base coat on something.

NEXT QUESTION:

Which Bones IV figure should I use to practice monochrome painting? Specifically, monochrome violet. Nothing but a dark violet and white. Not even going to use black.

Wraithssssssssssssssssss.

I didn't get the wraiths, which in hindsight, considering I actually am running a D&D campaign where they'd be useful, was a mistake. But they would have been appropriate, if I had them.

I gotta say I am jealous of all of you fine folks getting your stuff. I'm still back in wave 14. Hopefully in a couple weeks I will get to join in on the fun. Some of these minis I already have pegged to make Heroscape customs with.

I went over the Barge set... Goodness that's a big set... Gonna have a lot of fun with it.... once I have somewhere to display it/store it.

The barge is my biggest regret in not getting though storage would have been a bit of a problem. I didn't realize how big a model it was till I saw some unboxed and assembled pics.

I haven't had any complaints about the details on the smallers minis set one onward. Once the paint goes on a great deal of detail is revealed. So far the core sets have been wonderful with the  variety and in this last set both the apes and yuan-ti (especially the yuan-ti) were exactly what I needed. Ive never had a problem finding cheap dino models but some of the other figures in that set were very tempting such as the stone giants. I don't use dragons much but I stocked up on a few in Bones 3 (I think it was 3 that had a number of dragons offered). Different poses, different sculpts, even having dozens and dozens of villagers, heroes and adventurers is handy. Some of the more common type monsters such as orcs, goblins, kobolds, I have more than I need but I don't think the core sets hit you over the head with them. I know I'll grab a core set when Bones 5 starts up and make good use of it.  I still have unpainted minis from Bones 1.

I've supported all 4 too.  And after each one I've said, "That's enough Bones, I'll probably only get one or two things from the next one."  And every time, when I see the new Core Set there's been so much coolness in it my will has crumbled instantly.::P:

And I don't regret a single purchase.::):

^^this is me.

The only things I regret are the things I passed on.

And I've started my first Bones 4 mini!
