Now that I've inventoried everything, and even started painting my first mini... I need to actually store them somewhere. My bride's patience for having a giant box of bones next to the dining room table will expire soon...

I took someone's suggestion of an over-the-door shoe organizer and it's been beautiful.

I have an easy way to fix it.

Green stuff, a sculpting tool, and saying "Grump, fix this for me!" ::D:

Well it is easy for ME anyway!

Yeah, using him as an armature might be the easiest way to fix him - resculpting the fur to have more definition.

Still better than some of the GW 'wolves' with identical triangular scales of fur 'sculpted' on by using Copy Paste on the graphics program. <_< *EDIT* Sculpting on blobs of triangular fur is a great way to mask joins and etc.. It is when it is used for every bit of fur on the model that it becomes clogged with fail.

I got the 4 day weekend (Australian, but the holidays usually vary by state). So I’m currently at work doing day 1 of a 2 day work week because we have another holiday on the 25th of April (and I’m currently not working Fridays) it’s very lonely, most people took advantage of the ability to take a full week off by using just 3 days of leave. I’m kinda bored and I want to go home because my reaper order arrived about an hour after I left for work this morning.

Wait. Was this a Bones IV shipment arriving down under .... or just an ordinary order?

This discussion about how Argent is so much smaller than expected makes me sad. ::(:

We didn't order him, because he was too big.

@TheAuldGrump if it makes you feel better, he's still pretty darned big. He's going to have trouble fitting on my over-sized windowsills.

Reaper has not said that any sort of big resin figure of Argent (or anything else) will be available at ReaperCon.

Also, posting requests to buy or trade minis is against the Board rule of "no commerce."

<<<MOD EDIT>>>

OneBoot is correct and posts with such requests or referencing them have been removed.

He was just a sketch during the KS itself.

Dreadmere. Didn't even notice him during the KS with all the other great figures in that set.

Yep - and his sketch wasn't all that impressive, compared to some of the other sketches in the set (Herbalist, Turtoise, etc). He is one of the few that stands out even better as a sculpt.

Most of the bases are described by mm (IE 50mm,65mm), what would a 4" base be?

This is long since answered but 25.4mm is one inch. The extra point four builds up. So 5 inches becomes 127mm. This is why you might see contemporary warships sporting an odd sounding 127mm gun. A five inch gun was a traditional gun caliber of long standing. But they’ve gone metric.

4 inch guns are usually rounded up to 102mm.

Small tip: type “what is 65mm in inches” into the URL field in Chrome (or any browser with google set as the default search option) and the great google brain will work out the answer.

It will do all other unit conversions it has ever been told about. Area of spheres, number of furlongs in a Light year...

(It might note down somewhere that the monkey on the other side of the screen flunked science ...or is taking a science test ...or something  ...but it’s a quick way to get an answer if you are OK with that.)
