Now that pictures are being shared, what are some things that you regret not getting?

For me it's the snake, a duplicate set of the rulers of hell, the skeletal monsters, Mossbeard, and blacksting

Lots of stuff I regret not getting, but I lost my job during the campaign, so being a grown up and making sure bills and stuff were paid took precedence.

I am glad I got the Frost Giant raiders, though; they look great!

The statues, at least one set of each type. Not paying the extra 20$, reducing all my core set extras by 1, and getting another core set.

Beyond that, I'm hitting at least one of everything except the tiles, the paints, the art book, and the modern scenics.

And I know I am such an utter, shameless, drooling, greedy, SLUT for Reaper's products, that I will be backing Bones 5 to the best of my ability.

I can confirm based on a car ride to the airport with Kit today TX that none of the UK Hub orders have shipped from the Hub to backers.  He is heading back to the UK now and will be receiving delivery of his containers shortly.

Thank you @ladystorm, wanted to get confirmation rather than blindly believing a random person online first. Looks like someone is going to be disappointed tomorrow.

Mossbeard. But then, I was on the fence about him the entire time. He ended up on my "low priority" list (I made a spreadsheet for all the stuff I wanted, highlighted by priority... I can't be the only one here who did that...)

I am still content to wait for my minis. Honestly, I'm really hoping they get here after the baby, so I can take a picture of her in the box

What do I regret not getting, after having seen the pictures? Everything that I didn’t order, and another set of most of what I got.

Just to stick my anecdote into the math question, I’m a Wave 14, “slacker-backer” since I didn’t hear about the kickstarter until it closed. I closed 5 orders, even at the horrendously increased prices. ;) And mine have technically shipped, but won’t be seen for a couple weeks, bouncing through Australia on the way home.

Surprisingly few, and most of them a case of, 'dang, I wish I had ordered another set of that!'

Example: kind of sorry I didn't get more of the little gargoyle fence-post toppers; they are so ugly they're adorable, and I wish I'd snagged another set.

Okay, getting somewhere with these translucents...

1. Paint with Tamiya Clear. This provides an initial "primer" coat and makes the plastic clearer. As I understand it, the paint fills in the minute cracks in the plastic, preventing the cracks from diffusing light.

2. Paint a *thin* layer of Army Painter Green Ink only on the front of the miniature. You don't have to thin the ink with water, just paint only enough to thinly coat the miniature. One coat of clear Tamiya isn't as good a primer as regular primer. This addition layer of ink makes it easier for subsequent layers of ink to adhere. Unlike washing, you only want this layer of ink to acquaint you with the details. You can easily make mistakes with this step (like I did) by trying to make the details more visible. This risks pooling, as well as uneven distribution of the ink. By painting only the front of the miniature, you reduce the risk of seeing through the miniature paint on its back, which may make it hard to see the front of the miniature properly. (Note that in ghost artwork, even though you think you should see through the ghost, you never see the back of it when you see the front!) Mold lines are a pain, so us lazy painters can define the "front" of a miniature as the side that mold lines will interfere with the least! (eg. side view of the Shadow Hound from an earlier KS.)

3. Once you have enough thin layers, you can now focus on making the details more visible. Unlike conventional painting, you can't repaint areas without losing translucency. So paint thin layers like I should have.

Details are still hard to see from a distance, but at least they're more visible than unpainted.

I am still having trouble with the Bones 3 translucent models. I really like yours. Just to be clear before I buy the wrong thing you are referring to: Tamiya Acrylic X22 Gloss,Clear

The tentacles are starting to twitch!

Reaper Live said "The Container" has arrived and is in the process of being inventoried and processed so it will be ready for orders to start being filled "Monday or Tuesday".

So, if the number of remaining pulls was accurate, rather than approximate, that gives an average of 1.6 orders per remaining backer. I had guessed 1.5 I think, anybody else get closer?

Just checked my numbers, my guess was 1.35 per backer. Anybody closer?

Most of my regrets are along those lines too. I'd have liked to get a second rulers of hell and two more rocs. Oh well

Good point.  I have also used a glass quart jar and that worked too.

But which gets rid of the mold lines? Ziplock, tupperware, or a glass jar? :wow:

There is a Song of Ice & Fire RPG Game of Thrones Edition - still around, and still in print. ::):

I have the PDF from a long time ago, I think from the previous edition of the game.

The Auld Grump

Because reality loves irony - the Song of Ice and Fire PDFs are currently on Bundle of Holding....

A reason to love your dueling dragons, yes?

The Auld Grump - and to quote one of the characters... Where are my dragons?!

If anybody here loves cavern terrain and missed DF's first cavern KS KS2, this spring/summer around June DF will have KS6. The theme of KS6 will be Return to the Caverns and should be great fun for those who took part in KS2 or those who are new to DF.

DF had this to say and showed the below teaser pics

We're doing for Caverns what Dungeon of Doom did for Dungeons. A whole new batch of fun pieces to enhance your existing collection, but also completely stand-alone.

      Some of the key features:
New Core Shapes (diagonal wall, convex curves, 1" pieces, etc)
      Passages
Elevation (with stuff that's impossible on graph paper...)
Negative Space pieces (and new Terrain Trays)
      Flashy Pieces (Magnets & LEDs)
      Large pieces (4x4 and larger)

This looks like a very interesting board game with lots of new, fresh ideas and cool artwork (and nice minis - there is even a pledge level for just the minis: around 15 of them for $20 plus shipping):

      About this project

It's a harsh but lucrative business being a mercenary out on the edge of civilization. You must explore the harsh wilderness and engage in deep tactical combat, where the decisions you make have an impact not only on your own character, but also the world around you.

Gloomhaven is cooperative game of card-driven combat set in a persistent fantasy campaign which will change and grow as you play the game.
There is always more to unlock and explore in the world of Gloomhaven.

If you missed the first Gloomhaven Kickstarter (and retail sold out quickly) here is your chance. I backed that game the first time around and could not be happier with the results. Warning ... that box is heavy ...
