While we're dreaming, how about asking for some with an ale tankard or a pick-axe

I'd take more dwarven ladies in particular! I don't need any more beards, helms, and axe minis, but a good variety of unusual weapons/roles/etc. would be nice.

There's a Red Box kickstarter going on right now that I'm backing mostly because I have so few interesting miniatures of dwarven women...

A big +1 for more dwarven women with unusual weapons.

Man, there was a lot of money in pledges today. Bryan, you guys must be happy about today's totals. Did you normally wait this long to send out the announcement emails? Was this day-4 surge part of the plan?

I am going to take a guess....

But I think the thinking is more along the lines of: Why announce the KS to the old backers from the get go? If they are tuned into the FB page, and Reapers page they may already know about it. So the 1st 2 days will be big no matter what. Why not wait and send the announcement to the rest when the campaign has gotten a little bit of steam, but has hit a slow spot. Then instead of us dragging through the weekend waiting to unlock Rocky on Monday (Or whatever the stretch goal would have been going into this weekend), we unlocked him today, and now have the shorter stretch goals with minis that are generating a lot of excitement for the 'slow' weekend.

A couple days ago, people were saying we needed more bandits in bones. Can I just say that... I don't get it? For me the difference between a 'bandit' and a 'hero' is mostly in the paint job.

Do a search on 'bones hood' and you'll find Assassins Fighters and Rangers who would all make perfectly good bandits with a scruffy paint job. (Lots of Rangers actually, some female.) That's without getting into the Halflings or Rogues. Just paint the clothes to be darker and stained, maybe freehand some mending or patches, you could even use an exacto knife to cut the edge of a cloak and make it tattered, and you have a bandit.
