I really like the idea of mashing up a chronoscope set with the rest of the minis for more scifi goodness. give that ape lord a gatling gun, and the other apes some ray guns.

wizards with tool bots as familiars....

all sorts of potential.

we have always unlocked all revealed goals. at one point we missed the last thing (demon spider), but Reaper unlocked it as a thank you. that said, those were not always all planned goals. towards the end the goal style changes a bit (single goals, big surprise goals, etc).

Ok, that's what I wasn't getting. Simple leather armor, simple weapons (small swords, daggers, bows, clubs), no heroic pose. Sorry, I asked not to say they weren't needed, but because I genuinely did not understand what was being asked for.

With simple leather armor and simple weapons and no heroic poses... if the weapons could be cut off easily, they could possibly be made into towns folk as well.

For me it's the facial expressions too. Not just not heroic stance but actively aggressive, sullen, threatening. Bandits/street thugs/gang enforcers/rough tavern regulars are one of the most common encounters - at least in my early level games.

So it will be up to two maybe three sculpts...?

Games Workshop has a LOTR dwarf rangers set with bows, also some other dwarf blisters with bows. Problem is, they're all 25mm

In the Bones 4 Information board they have answered this a bit:

Has Reaper ever done a series of 'downtrodden adventurers'? IE, the versions of adventures after they've had some really bad outcome / lost most everything / went senile.

-

@Jason Emery - in the past, wounded, maimed, and haggard heroes have sold exceptionally poorly. Our theory is that it's the reason most fantasy avatars are "fit" and "greek human ideal or godlike" physique. In fantasy, people tend to want to be the "best" version of themselves/their idealized hero character.

It's one reason we often get heat for lack of variety in our models physique - we tend towards the idealized shapes, which doesn't often include rubenesque women and men, paunches, dad-bods, or other body types. While we certainly do not believe that "good" and "heroic" equate to "physically fit", the fanbase, by and large (and it's VERY evident from sales patterns) doesn't tend to buy alternative body types - including physical disabilities and obesity.

Now with these I could see making a line of "Dark" knights archers and such where they look like some very bad guys and willing to do bad things to people.  Like Shadowfane and Argentee said above simple frowns, open mouthed screaming faces, chipped brutal blades, and axes, gouged shields, and armor.  These things I think could do well but maybe not scruffy low level dudes, more like the hardened veterans of butchery they just happen to be.

To me the pose is the biggest problem with painting hero rangers/rogues as bandits or thugs. Most rangers and rogues look elegant and well-trained in the way the wield their daggers, short swords or bows. A bandit or thug wouldn't have training or well balanced weapons and would probably take more of a 'hack and slash' stance.

Btw: Good morning everyone, it's great to weak up to one SG fulfilled and another being $500 away.

I think I need one of those dragon turtles for starship gaming. Replace that treasure hoard with a space base, then put a few elephants on the turtle's back, then whip up a disk... :B):

I think the turtle would look great on a taller flight stand as some sort of unusual flying turtle. (Sounds like something you'd find in Ghost Archipelago...or 1890's Venus....)

And, yes, less that $500 to another stretch goal!!!
