I like the nagendra - I don't know what I'd do with them, but I like them.

My only gripe? Why does a REPTILE have boobs? And a navel? Again?! An old sculpt ..?

*muttergrumble* Broader hips, I could see that, but damnit, reptiles aren't mammals...

And catgirls need a hex-bra!  Preach it!

Oooh, the Naga look neat!

Not Naga. Nagendra = not yuan ti.

There was a Naga in the Stoneskull expansion of Bones 3.

I like these, also the first thing I've asked for to show up in one of these (not that I have any sway). The only thing that is unfortunate is that it won't actually correspond with the release of DnD info on Chult... but will make it more playable in future. I can now max my non-expansion budget if I get every "maybe" item. I feel like the first level of a second expansion should be soonish based on previous kickstarters

Hm, Yuan Ti (which is kinda what those Naga look like to me) are human-snake mixes, and WoW Naga are cursed Elves. Not sure about similar creatures in different games, but for those two cases the more mammalian features make more sense than with a lot of other creatures.

I can .. sort of ..? get behind this reasoning; it is logical.

Generally, I don't think creatures hatched from eggs need navels, much less boobs (and I don't remember WoW Lore ever clarifying where new baby naga come from, if there /are/ any, I only know you don't see them in game, nor any indication where they might come from).

I have heard the "snakes don't have mammalian glands" too many times. We can suspend disbelief for  2 ton Lizards with wings that can fly, breathe Fire, talk and cast spells cuz ... MAGIC. But have one FANTASY race violate our  real world evolution and its an its a ridiculous outrage....

I can always mod them to remove them if i please

but does anyone else, with the mention of 'snake gods', hope for the giant cobra statue that was supposed to be in the now-canceled Conan kickstarter?

Brian responded to that by basically saying wait

Lizards with Mammary glands does drive my Bionerd OCD nuts.

However, I instantly know the one wielding magic is female.

And they are humanoid snake hybrids... Maybe they need to nurse their young after they hatch from eggs. *shrug* idk. Could be legit.

Look at it this way. Dragons are generally somewhat consistent. Not every artist manages to make them look like they can fly, but that's not the dragon's fault.

Humanoid reptilian races? Not so much. On the one hand, they're reptiles; they hatch from eggs, they're largely independent the moment they're hatched, they eat the same things the adults eat; as long as they can catch them.

But their females have mammalian features that .. they.. don't .. need? Why? The navel is where the umbilical was connected. A creature hatched from an egg wouldn't have that. Baby reptiles don't drink milk, their mothers don't give them milk - at best, they regurgitate whatever they ate last - so why would the females have breasts?

It's inconsistent, and it's the inconsistency that bugs me. :/

Yuan-Ti/"Nagendra" aren't reptiles. They're snake-people - and some of them were human people before being cursed/blessed by their snakey deity.
