As for the Nagendra that looks like it swallowed a belly dancer, I think there is an unfortunate tendency of the internet to exaggerate conflicts way beyond people's thoughts.

 

So while my eyebrows went up when I saw it, I was more amused than offended. I think the "female" Nagendra is cute, even if the anatomy is ridiculous.

 

I also like the suggestion that these are human-snake morphs.

Good morning everyone.

Looking at those Naga again, I really like them. They will be fun to paint, snakes have so many great colors and patterns irl.

 

I hope we see even more of those "six packs" of monsters (even if it's as a paid Add On). Always makes me want more than one of them, just to be prepared for my usually quite big groups.

(Somewhere around here, I have a copy of the URCON convention booklet that had one of - if not the - first publications of Winslow in it - it's made its way through about a dozen moves, and probably forty years of my history, but I still have it).

@Glitterwolf If you like snakes, you should have seen the DF Kickstarter. They unlocked a giant three headed snake god! With luck it will be available at retail sometime next year (assuming you didn't back it).

 

Edit to add: As for me, I rather like the Snake People and I personally find the anatomy issue easy enough to overlook, but I can certainly understand those who find it hard to do so.

With the Nagendra/not-Yaun Ti, I feel like we may have just been given a sneak peek at the Bonus 24 for the inevitable Bones V.

 

I agree that it would be nice to have a large, not-Yuan Ti Abomination or two, especially if they could be included with Julie's Giant Snake, which has yet to get any Bones love.  Yes, we have the fantastic giant cobra, but it's too good of a sculpt to pass up!

 

A male and female not-Yuan Ti Purebloods could also be cool, but the racial features are subtle enough that trying to depict them in bonesium could be challenging.  Maybe fitting them in some sort of "snake cult" garb?

 

EDIT:

Oh, and a Huge not-Yuan Ti Anathema (basically, a Huge-sized, multi-headed Abomination) would be nice as long as I'm wishing. . . .

Last week's Girl Genius update was the original three page Winslow story. I hadn't seen it in a bazillion.

Makes me wish the Foglios would put the Gallimaufry story back up on the Studio website... the one where the entire Gallimaufry Station is losing their $%#@ because the Winslow is on board.
