I like the nagendra - I don't know what I'd do with them, but I like them.

My only gripe? Why does a REPTILE have boobs? And a navel? Again?! An old sculpt ..?

*muttergrumble* Broader hips, I could see that, but damnit, reptiles aren't mammals...

Mantic has a Dreadball (SF football, kind of) team that has octopus creatures with breasts.... But for them, it kind of makes sense - they are closer to mimic octopuses - and boobs distract the mammals that they are playing against.... (Mostly humans.. Mostly males.)

For a moment out of the corner of my eye I thought your avatar was Phil Foglio's Winslow, which I have been a fan of since roughly the Paleolithic.

Don't get me wrong, it's a cute enough eyebeast.  But for just a moment I was thrilled.

"Nice try."

My sister had the same stuffed toy that the Winslow was based on. ::):

They were pretty common, once upon a time.

Two possible answers -

1. Paint it in metallics - it is wearing the breasts as part of a suit of armor, but does not have the breasts itself.

2. It just ate Madonna in one of her stage costumes.  You can see a mouse sliding down a snake pretty well....

@Glitterwolf If you like snakes, you should have seen the DF Kickstarter. They unlocked a giant three headed snake god! With luck it will be available at retail sometime next year (assuming you didn't back it).

Edit to add: As for me, I rather like the Snake People and I personally find the anatomy issue easy enough to overlook, but I can certainly understand those who find it hard to do so.

I know!  Now I have to figure out how to afford getting the forsaken temple at preorder.  The nagendra will fit nicely though!  I get that reptiles don't have clear cut genders, but I for one do like the female sorceress sculpt.

Too Much Coffee Man!

Phil and Kaja just reposted the original cartoon!

One is sentient.

(Somewhere around here, I have a copy of the URCON convention booklet that had one of - if not the - first publications of Winslow in it - it's made its way through about a dozen moves, and probably forty years of my history, but I still have it).

That was published somewhere.  We have it in a physical copy.

I have it in a back issue of "Myth Adventures," based on the first book of Robert Asprin's series. Regrettably, it's in a box in the garage... somewhere.

That must be where I have it.  I still have those old early 'eighties oversized black and white comic books.

And now the Kickstarter commenters are blaming those of us who asked for women figures for the goofy anatomy on the female Nagandra and saying we're never satisfied.

Somehow Bones Kickstarters always seem to suffer from the same problem--they show off an awesome concept/render/green and I go, "Yes!  I need that right now!!"  Then I have to wait for a year or two to actually get it.  I really hope there aren't any extra delays on Bones 4.

A male and female not-Yuan Ti Purebloods could also be cool, but the racial features are subtle enough that trying to depict them in bonesium could be challenging.  Maybe fitting them in some sort of "snake cult" garb?

I am likely to use regular bones humans or elves as purebloods. As you say, the facial detail would be a challenge and after my painting would likely end up lost.

I will gladly buy any other variations of the type that Reaper puts out!

Man I would have been happy had Reaper just released their current Nagendra sculpts in bones.  I'm feeling a bit spoiled with these new ones.  I know what I will be obsessing over until this KS fulfills.
