Somehow Bones Kickstarters always seem to suffer from the same problem--they show off an awesome concept/render/green and I go, "Yes!  I need that right now!!"  Then I have to wait for a year or two to actually get it.  I really hope there aren't any extra delays on Bones 4.

I think they were very smart to say shipping would start in February. Pretty much if they plan on having everything ready by late summer, then it should get produced in late November/December when all the other XMAS manufacturing is dying down.

I am likely to use regular bones humans or elves as purebloods. As you say, the facial detail would be a challenge and after my painting would likely end up lost.

I will gladly buy any other variations of the type that Reaper puts out!

My first go-to would probably be the Bones III cultists.  I suspect they could work well, especially with a complementary color scheme.

Isn't the whole thing with Purebloods that they are able to infiltrate human society without being noticed? ^^ So they maybe have some reptile eyes, or a split tongue, or some scales somewhere, but still pretty human. For the whole Yuan Ti family the ones that are top part snake with human legs are missing, if I'm not mistaking.

I agree the snakes with glands thing is silly, but it's also just part of a bigger problem in fantasy gaming in general. Folks have been asking for more female minis, so if you make a snake one how do you distinguish it? Give your snake people long hair or something? I think it's fine and don't blame the sculptor or Reaper for how silly gender stuff just already is in D&D, at least they listened and we are getting more lady characters.

I have it in a back issue of "Myth Adventures," based on the first book of Robert Asprin's series. Regrettably, it's in a box in the garage... somewhere.

It was also published in Buck Godot: Zap Gun for Hire, although I don't remember which one, and plays a pretty important role in The Gallimaufry  - The Winslow

I know!  Now I have to figure out how to afford getting the forsaken temple at preorder.  The nagendra will fit nicely though!  I get that reptiles don't have clear cut genders, but I for one do like the female sorceress sculpt.

I really want the limited edition forsaken temple. I doubt I"ll be able to cough up the dough for it though. Depending on the window of when DF needs me to lock in, I may have to juggle funds between this and that.

The good news is that they did say they will sell Sysuul separately through the ks, so if you want the mini but can't swing the encounter, you still have options.

Just saw this in OneBoot's summaries on the info thread from a couple days ago. I wonder if we will hear (maybe after the fact) which were the more popular add-ons and such?

@Cat - only 30% of backers have used the PM to enter their rewards, so currently, yes, the two systems do not line up well. However, extrapolating from that subset, we can see which rewards are going over well.

So saw this on Oneboot's latest KS comment post in information thread:

is the battering ham that Jason Wiebe showed on Facebook an actual part of the troll stretch goal? Thanks!

-

@David Locke - we will be producing it, but have not made the final decision as to whether the Pig will be added to the reward level. If we do, we will announce it via Update.

So this has kind of put the trolls on my backburner list of stuff to get. Unless something changes or new cool stuff pops up, my LOCKS are wraiths, high rollers and Rocky all to be pledged before KS ends. Then I need to save up and lock core set after KS ends. Then MAYBE get some add on's as money allows, but maybe not trolls now until we get confirmation of battering ham.

Yeah I was under the impression earlier that the pig was definitely in based on other comments.

It seems like an awkward move to tease it like that and then not include it.

I believe backtracking was in order, especially on the KS comments, so it can be relieved later as a bonus to stimulate interest. If they promised it to everyone now, it wouldn't be something extra later would it?

I suspect the sculptor may have accidentally tipped people off 'before it was time'.

So I am reserving all my excitement for the battering ham for when it's officially part of the KS.

oh, i thought Bryan confirmed that here in the comments

So did I. I already pledged on the idea of supporting the trolls, but I would want to know for sure before locking it in before the KS closes.
