Ah, didn't look in the expansion. Those look great! I was thinking about getting the Bones 3 expansions, but they came out too close to Bones 4. Well, let's wait for individual retail.

Looks like we're still seeing most of the growth so far come from new backers... that's interesting.

 

In other related news, today's total on Kicktraq has already outperformed Bones 3's total from the same day. Maybe not meaningful yet, but  it's also interesting! ($26k vs. $25k)

It's interesting that many of the new minis in this project appear to have fully integral bases that mimic actual black plastic bases as opposed to just looking like rocks/dirt/broccoli. I'm curious how those will look when they are based onto the bases that I have a zillion of thanks to the BaseBoss KS.

 

E.g., will the below kobold bases need to be trimmed to fit cleanly onto a reaper 20mm round base which is more like 17-18 mm at the top?

 

 

Side note, these kobolds are gorgeous.

 

Also, I'm sooo excited for the not-yuan-ti! Really a hole that needed filling. Wizkids prepaints of that race are mostly garbage, and their unpainted line will only be releasing 1 snake-top malleson and 1 snake-bottom malleson. Not much variety there.

 

I am really appreciating how many unique sculpts we've been getting from bones for the more common monster races, and how for the most part they are all sculpted so it's easy to make EVEN more unique models w a bit of conversion.

Yep, I know. The expansions are just left over from KS rewards. But they were available in a time where I was saving up for Bones 4, and they were a bit pricey considering I didn't want every miniature in those sets.

 

Regarding individual Bones 3 releases: there a none so far this month, right? there were a few, mostly PCs, a few weeks ago, but nothing for August this far?

The last release was July 31.  Reaper tends to space them a few weeks apart, so look for an August release in the middle or second half of the month.
