Even though I can be very OCD on theme, I find having a statue any kind of statue brings the session more to life than drawing a star and a circle on a map to indicate a statue. So I'll use them even if the setting isn't Ancient Greece.

And the two statues are not identical, one is distressed and worn, the other is not.

If they take after true classical sculpture, there shouldn't be too much there to cover up if you needed to add a greenstuff figleaf!

Kudos to Reaper for controversy in multiple forms from the same figures!

I noticed a subtle change in the presentation of the Nagendra.

 

When they first showed up, the female was last.  As I was initially scanning the image my thoughts were admiration and musing whether these were males or females and then I hit the last one and thought, Aw.

 

But now when I look at the image, the female is first and presented as "Matriarch" (I don't rememmber what or if she was labeled in the first image), followed by the warriors.

 

It's the exact same set, but the psychology is subtly different.

It's still just a placeholder name.  We have no idea what name she'll be given by the time it hits the store.  Interesting how a marketing spin can change how people perceive it though.

Would liked to have been privy to that decision making meeting...and seen who was camp sorceress and who was camp matriarch! 

 

It does however now make it look like Swordsman 2 is fighting the Ghost of Sir Forscale.
