When I went looking for these, I was surprised to find how limited the shopping options actually were. I'd have gone for more hemispherical ones had I been able to find them.

(Or, in short, I agree...)

As the Christmas season approaches, Michaels tends to carry vast quantities of clear plastic spherical Christmas ornaments, some of which come in two halves. I loaded up on them last season, thinking they might make good effect domes (and planets for sci fi games).

...

As for the reveal, now I understand why the folks at Reaper have been discussing Dreadmere so much. ::):

I'm excited to hear that the tree will be an add-on and not part of an expansion. Whether it will be by itself or not remains to be seen, but it increases the chances I will get two!

Huzzah!

A good place to start in on Dreadmere.

Which is still not confirmation... just hopeful at this point.

I'm hoping they include ReaperWolf's Dreadmere adventures from last year's ReaperCon. There was a lot of pre-made PCs in them, so they could appear as extras in the expansion.

For some reason, I really like Prinda. Maybe women in aprons who smell of fish are secretly one of my turn-ons?

What a thing to wake up to. The three new ones for the core set are great and did I say I think this is the best core set so far already? ^^

Really excited to see what will come next in this Dreadmere expansion. Jacob, Reisman, Worden and Wladislaw are good examples for "thugs" for me. They don't look heroic and I can see them robbing a struggling PC behind a tavern as well as storming a castle as part of an angry mob or robbing merchants on the lonely roads around the village.

I do hope we will get some creative undead and monsters, the Bonesack dude is a good start.

And hags. A coven of hags with their cauldron

You can find them all year around at Hobby Lobby if you have one close. The last time I was there, they had 2 sizes of the ones that come in halves. I sure do miss having craft stores like Hobby Lobby and Michaels, there is just nothing comparable in Oz. ::(:

What is Dreadmere?

Dreadmere is a swamp kingdom (of an ancient elven city that sank, and partly resurfaced) in Reaper's home brew campaign setting for the Dark Heaven miniatures.

Dreadmere was also the focus of ReaperCon 2016, with four factions vying it out to control most of it. The top row in the expansion were metal exclusives during the convention.

Sounds like you  just stumbled on a great business venture for yourself!  Start a franchise craft company and you'd be rich! ::):

I believe Dreadmere is the focus of ReaperCon 2017 as well, and possibly future years.

The link is buried somewhere in the fifteen thousand KS comments, and I don't get the Dice Tower Weekly KS round up. But Dice tower does that, and a blurb about the Bones KS was in there.

Met Tom Vassel at Dice Tower con this year. Seems like a nice guy. The con was fun. It sucks that they limit the number of tickets sold, but at the same time, I think that's part of the reason why we had a good time at a full, but not over crowded con.

I will mention, that Dice Tower is far more board game centered. Though I ended up playing Pathfinder almost the entire weekend, because I play board games when I don't have an opportunity to play RPG's.

Aww... I could have met Thes! This was my 2nd year at Dice Tower con, and spent my time board gaming. The con is in Orlando, FL for five days and they have a HUGE lending library. You go up, tell them what you want, they get the game (if it isn't checked out) scan the game, scan your badge, and you have it for 24 hours before they start nagging you over the intercom. ::P:

My husband and I went with a list of 'We think this might be interesting, but do we want to spend the money' and checked out and played games. Cool stuff Inc has a scratch and dent sale they restock 3 times a day, and given how much travelling my games do and how minor the damage usually is, it's a great way to save some money.
