The Auld Grump - it's already happened with the Bones III Sophie.... I could have sworn the figure just plain hadn't been shipped, but there she was, cleaned, primed, and partially painted....

 

You better get a third, Megan has plans for the second one as well.

Is it just me or when looking through Dreadmere mini's, does anyone else think "Dennis, there's some lovely filth down here!"?

If you look at the metal version of her on the reaper store it's in her description. In the reapercon section there's also a bit about each of the factions (because you get to pick your faction).

Hmmm.

 

I'm not sure what I was expecting from Dreadmere, but Part II was not it.  I'm really digging the Crimson Herald, Jacob, Lukesia, Worden, and Wladislaw.  The Stonegreaves Wight is interesting as is the Cthonic Hivewarden.  But the rest is only getting a lukewarm reaction.  Still holding out hope for part three, though!  At this point it's just about the math.

 

The same thing goes for the Chronoscope set.  I'm interested in (by quick personal and unofficial estimate) $35 retail worth of it.    I want to like more of it, but it's just not happening.

 

Now, and I never thought I'd say this, any potential cat dragon has me greatly intrigued.  Maybe even enough to start buying mouselings in general...

 

And since I just can't seem to stop typing, I would like to point out that I appreciate the less-heroic scale figures more.  I also like the built-in standardized basing...although if it were a "push" between the two I would lose the basing in a heartbeat.

So, I've been lurking on this forum since day 2 of the Bones 3KS.  You guys are a lot of fun to read and have helped keep the update withdrawal under control.  But I felt the need to create an account to reply to this:

You have completely transformed my perception of the potential cat dragon.  Up until now, I thought it was a funny on-going joke.  I mean, a cat dragon would be ridiculous looking, right?  But squaring off the mouselings against the cat dragon is just too perfect.

 

My daughter is going to be 4 or 5 by the time these kickstarter pieces arrive (depending on timing).  I've been trying to think about how to introduce her to miniatures and painting and roleplaying in general.  Running a mouseling campaign with cat dragons and Owlbears and Snakemen (and any of an other long list of anthropomorphized mouse predators) is just too perfect to not attempt.

Once upon a time there was the Legion of Justice and Caeke.  And they were adorable, but the planned villain never made it past the concept art.  This is part of the reason why calls for a villain for the mouselings have surfaced, I think--it's the cute line that's sticking around for Reaper, and they deserve a bad guy that fits their theme. 

 

This is, of course, my opinion.  But from what I've heard mouselings do a lot to bring people to the hobby, which is good for everyone.

With Reaper using the Fat Dragon maps I was thinking they should do a fat dragon mini....
