Huh. Alright. I always thought it was a charitable Reaper exclusive thing that they did with a specific artist. Bummer if they don't have the rights for it. The mouslings are cool, but.... caeke. I have a fondness. Still working on a mousling right now to get me in a chipper mood before I go paint another necromancer.

You have completely transformed my perception of the potential cat dragon.  Up until now, I thought it was a funny on-going joke.  I mean, a cat dragon would be ridiculous looking, right?  But squaring off the mouselings against the cat dragon is just too perfect.

 

My daughter is going to be 4 or 5 by the time these kickstarter pieces arrive (depending on timing).  I've been trying to think about how to introduce her to miniatures and painting and roleplaying in general.  Running a mouseling campaign with cat dragons and Owlbears and Snakemen (and any of an other long list of anthropomorphized mouse predators) is just too perfect to not attempt.

In the meantime, I highly recommend checking out the Mice and Mystics boardgame. It's a story-driven dungeon crawler featuring mouse heroes (and a shrew and lizard in the expansion) facing off against appropriately-sized enemies in a fantasy setting. You could definitely mod the rules a bit to be able to play with a young kiddo.

We had a limited license with Wayne Reynolds, that specifically permitted us to produce them in metal, for a limited time, with profits to go to charity (although I am forgetting the specifics at the moment). That license does not extend to Bones, and has expired anyway.

I bought the Kickstarter Mouseling packs only with Mouse and Mystics in mind - I hope to expand the board game into something more extensive, RPG-like, for when my daughter grows older! :D

 

For the same reason, a cat-dragon would likely make me jump the KS4 ship, which I am currently not aboard yet..

I don't like him much, but that is because I want a little bit of dragon in my dragons lol

 

he is just a giant dog. There is nothing dragon about him, to me. The Smaug from the cartoon Hobbit is a great example of how I want a animal dragon to look

 

he is a cat. He is a dragon. He looks like a hybrid of both.

I got to ride him once. That was the one non-traumatizing experience at the Bavaria Filmstudios.

 

And he kinda looks part Asian Dragon to me, due to his body shape.
