Probably from a creating a "set" standpoint it would have made more sense, but from a business sense it was a pretty smart move for the reason trappleton mentions above.   Also the reverse; people only buying the hut add-ons will now want to get the Core Set.

The real question now being how many sets of the new paint set do you have to get to get enough of the wood triad to paint the HUT!!!!!

 

I am guessing you would need two.

The Bones paint is more like the high density paint than the core colors, yes? Or is part of the HD line? 

 

I tend to work with the core colors. I had an HD pot or two when they were still in tiny jars instead of droppers. Wasn't as big of a fan... 

 

I guess, is it worth the pledge for the paint colors for me, or find core colors or different brands for them? The other dilemma is that I want the colors more immediately than minis.... hmm.

 

Super excited for the hut with the witch though!

Bryan had said that is not HD or Bones branded paint.

I'm guessing 1! unless the hut is much bigger than than the mausoleum from 3.

Thanks, @Harrek. Hard to find all this in the depth of these many pages! Hmm. Still need to decide if I want to add them in, or seek those colors presently. The teal and the pink are the ones I like the most there.

Happy that Baba and her hut are up now. Conflicted about paints. I'm already doing a major buy in of MSP paints this year with over 80 bottles already bought and a few more to get later. They are very cheap in the KS. Set A has nice basic colours that could be useful. Set B has some more unique (well for me anyhow) colours. And how many living statues do I need? Everything else was an easy buy/no buy choice. May what for the after KS pledge manager to grab anything I'm on the fence about.

Buy all the paint, trust me, in a year and a half you will need more ,especially with hundreds of new minis.
