they make a giant eagle already, so that could be the "kind of" for thing they already make and yet be a new sculpt

They also make giant dragons and cats (though NOT giant haha)

dragons have wings

they fly

Cats cannot swim (well mostly. Can dragons?)

Bahamut and Tiamat are sort of deities:)

And we have been talking about it in comments.

Guess we will find out tomorrow morning. I'll be there (well online, not actually in Denton)

On Ron's tease - I'm thinking Quetzalcoatl - he's huge, winged, can be worshipped as a deity and has been asked for many times in the comments. (The next bits are a bit of a stretch). I also imagine feathered, winged serpents don't swim, and because it is ancient and lives in a jungle it might smell of old (tree) trunk... :D

hmm, smells like a trunk. That could be a reference to bilbo saying in the hobbit (cartoon) "I have not smelled dragon before" to which a dwarf replied "all the halls are probably covered with his foul stench" A stretch I know, but there it is:)

Good suggestion, guys.

 

Oooh, how about Phoenix  - winged, can fly, huge, unlikely to swim (cos' fire), can be worshiped as a deity - so just the trunk thing...wasn't there that story by Edith Nesbit - The Phoenix and the Carpet? Wasn't the carpet or whatever that summoned the phoenix kept in an old trunk? (super stretchy! :D )
