I am glad you are enthuiastic or else all these days of lack of sleep might get painful.

@Reaperbryan
Firstly I completely understand if you cant comment on this & I realise that you probably cannot give an "official" response.

A few of us have been commenting on the pace of pledges in comparison to previous Bones KSs. What is the general mood/opinion there in your offices?

We're optimistic overall, and progress is roughly in line with expectations. Many people will wait to see what the Big Set-pieces are, and, of course, many people have no need of the quantity of models in a Core Set after 3 previous projects, and so will be choosy, leading to overall slower rates of goal-achieving.

I'm not Bryan, but the campaign leapt off to a 5x multiple of it's original funding target in less than an hour. Regardless of past Bones performance, it's hard for me to call that anything other than success.

Well, technically it depends on how much they need to make to actually make the project profitable (which is likely well above $30k). Only Reaper knows what that figure is, but regardless, I agree that it might not have quite the initial pace as the last KS, but it still seems like a decent initial push. The next day or two ought to give a decent barometer of where they are at.

And I have this weird feeling you folks know what you are doing about now. :)

I agree that it's still going to be a successful Kickstarter, though maybe not as much as the previous ones. However, that $30,000 funding target doesn't really mean much. I'm sure Reaper's expecting this to get into the millions like the previous Kickstarters and if it didn't clear the $30,000 in the first few minutes, they would have had to seriously examine what had gone wrong.

I might be wrong, but comparing the "roadmap" on the KS page to the previews that were shown ahead of time, I think we already know what most of the yet-to-be-revealed models are. Am I way off-base on this?

Really excited to finally be in on one of these. I especially like the dice guys. That owlbear sculpt, though -- maybe it's just the image that's presented there, but I can't tell what the heck is going on with that guy. He looks more jagged than a Michael Bay Transformer!

All I want to know is, what happened to the griffon??? Oh, and will the adventurers be available as chibi versions? In the core set?

Griffin will be unlocked when we reach a high enough pledge total.

I have gotten the impression that Reaper likes to save some of their more interesting stuff for the mid-to-late stages of the Kickstarter to keep interest high. It's not hard to keep momentum going on day 1, usually...

I have it on good authority that we're incompetent. But we're enthusiastic about it.

That map is hardly the end of the KS. That map doesn't even get to the $1,000,000 mark!

We're only seeing the first screen (the market). There is probably at least one more page of rewards to unlock after they finish the market. We can probably expect new rewards to be unlocking until at least $2 or $3M.

I do not speak for Reaper. My personal opinion, baseless speculation:

The Griffin will appear later, possibly in tandem with another (or several) figures as an add-on. The original Bones Griffin was late, in the core, along with the owlbear.

The chibi adventurers will likely appear, but they will be an add-on (probably in the $10-12 range, like the polyhedroes).
