Is there any chance we could have a collection of 'Ron Reads' audio books as a stretch goal? The man has some serious smooth going on.

Not sure why, but whenever I join the KS comments it all goes quiet. Maybe a potent mix of my menacing writing style and sexual prowess silences others.

Maybe I'm just not likable

Well it's certainly not the first part. And I think you're fairly likeable. For a Brit that is ;-).

I could say something witty and/or snarky but I think the answer is probably more simple and related to time zones.

Thanks!

More than once I've had someone propose that I take hobby X and turn it into a business.

I have done the math repeatedly (on various hobbies) and learned WAY more than I ever wanted to about business accounting. And I have firmly decided to keep my 40 hour/week job with benefits and leave my hobbies as HOBBIES.

20 years ago I successfully turned my paintball hobby into a business. But I have very low standards for success. I wouldn't have been able to live on what I made but it paid for itself and for trips for us to play all over the canadian prairies. I was happy enough with a self supporting hobby and a real job.

I like the summaries you and the others gave about making minis. I've looked into having my own line of minis and doing casting. I talked with a few other people that have done it. I've also done a fair amount of resin casting for myself. Doing something for fun is one thing. Running it as a business that can support itself is a huge step up. Never did take the step to buy the several thousands of dollars of equipment necessary to do bulk casting in metal. One thing many people often forget to mention is the time it takes to cast. Lots of talk about material costs but labour is expensive too. That's one of the reasons resin casts are usually more expensive. And it they don't turn out they're garbage where plastic or metal can just be reused.

I like the hill giants but wouldn't mind seeing some females too. Not sure if I need 5 of them (3 in this KS and 2 form before) but I'm in for them. Pretty close to hitting my soft pledge limit for now. I'm sure there will be more I want coming up but they might have to wait until after the KS.

I wasn't going to say it, but yeah, that was my initial thought, too (well, "cave," not "kitchen," but same intent).  I would super excited for a $10-15 add-on that was a set of Hill, Fire and Frost Giantess warriors.  Not "queens."  Warriors.  Not looking regal, not posing or reclining, but instead engaged in dynamic combat just like their Y-chromosome counterparts.  General purpose minis for use in gaming when players happen to encounter a female giant (I'm, like, pretty sure they exist in most F20 games).  The current Giantesses are fine, but when my group rolls out the Chessex mat, at least, it's for combat, not court politics.

It's not like I'm actually looking to fight for gender rights in my toys.  I don't need to see a 1:1 ratio or anything, especially when fantasy tropes usually depicts males as doing most of the fighting.  I would just like to see some more variety and more importantly, utility in the Bones giants' catalog.

(also, new Stone Giants, please)

Absolutely agree. We had TWO female hill giants in the campaign my huz is currently running (Storm King's Thunder) that interacted with the players. We used the female Ogre from Bones 3 for the second one but it's just frustrating to see three more sculpts get released and they are all so similar. I'm skipping all the hill giants in this but if Reaper made a female giant warrior add-on pack (maybe a hill, fire, frost, and storm or stone) all in dynamic poses I would definitely get it. I hope they do some day include that in their catalogue.

Hakarl... greenland shark that is poisonous when fresh. It is beheaded, gutted, and pressed so all juices leave the body. It is then buried for several weeks for it to ferment before being cut into strips, dusted with fermentation product, and hung to dry for 4-5 months. It posses a strong ammonia and fishy smell.

Yea, I don't think I am adventurous with foods as I like to believe. O__o

How in the world does one get to the point where that process is developed!? How many were poisoned through trial and error?!

My guess is an area where "normal" food is in short supply and desperate people will eat just about anything.  They may have figured out that this normally poisionous fish wasn't after it was rotting.  (they didn't eat it, it rotted, they got hungry enough and realized that it didn't kill them).

Or it was a dare.
