Oh, oh!

The rock maw is a not-Xorn! I didn't see it a moment ago, but now I do.

Suddenly, a not-Umber Hulk feels extremely likely.

Maybe even a not-Hook Horror? A Barbed Beast?

Spreadsheeting the new expansion, and I'm at $12/$50 of figures I'd get. Kudos to those finding full value already.

For me, I'm good for the rockmaw, phase cat, watcher, and both fungi. Will wait for further reveals before adding. Well, okay, pledging. My pledge would already cover this.

[...] just want sexual dimorphism that makes sense. It doesnMt make sense to me that a hill giant female would be gorgeous and petite and so completely different from the male.

Applying bird dimorphism to the hill giants would mean the female would need to be uglier than the male ... or larger and fiercer, if it is bird of prey dimorphism.

I can't think of any animal species beyond human where the female is better looking than the male. In all animals the female is either the same, or more drab.

One nice thing about the Phase Cat is that if anyone wanted to make her look canonically like a particular IP's Product Identity, you'd only have to snip off two of the tentacles and voila! And since there are currently four, that means you have a variety of poses to choose from!

Wait, am I missing something?  Aren't Phoenixes a medium sized monster?

ERMERGERD THAT UPDATE!

AD&D 2 says that phoenixes have a 40-foot wingspan. Pathfinder, with the d20 size rules, has phoenixes at the same size as rocs (20' square space, with a larger wingspan). D&D 3 has them at Large, at a 10' square. (In MM2.) D&D 5 does not have a stat block for a phoenix but creates one out of a roc as an example of making your own monsters.

There were many requests for a displacer beast so the phase cat will get a lot of interest. I see it as two minis. A jaguar and some nice tentacles...love the funghi. Nothing I really want yet. But don't mind me. I'm in it for big stuff and things that can be used for my Lost World Project. No small stuff that doesn't fit for me. I love the dragon turtle. Will get the terrapin and catfish in retail. Zombie dragon and Roc. Giant Cobra if it shows up...and I will get those paints...
