I'm also using that horse for my paladin conversion.  It's a great little horse!  Back in Bones 2 there was a lot of talk about how you could convert the riders by removing the top half of them and then replacing it with the top half of a different mini.  But it rather requires that you have a few different variants on armor for the bottom half.  It really, really sucks that Sir Danel never made it to retail like the other defective Bones models.  His only issue was that he had a wonky hand--his right hand is a left hand and it looks bizarre--it was totally fixable.  Heck, I'd buy him even as he is and either fix the hand or chop off his whole upper half again.

This is really why I want more cavalry.  I've been waiting since Bones 2. .

That's what I've done with mine; a couple hand swaps, and he's good to go.

Crap or get off the pot, as it were.

Would your current company have another position for you on a different contract? And if not, any chance of a severance package?

It will be unlocked. They probably won't show Dance until the last day (or hey you never know, could be sooner).

We unlock multiple goals on the last day or so, and Reaper times certain goals. So they will offer dance at some point, and it will unlock. So its a safe bet to throw in $20 for it now, and then we can unlock more stuff before they reveal Dance, and then bring in even more backers, (to unlock even more stuff, and so on, and so forth).

Go for it!

I hope that the Dance of Dead isn't that expensive!  I was thinking $30-40.

I doubt I can skip it if it is that expensive (as much as Maal) but I might have to cut something else out.

i'm hoping cheaper too, then i can buy two and paint one up for my new little niece, who would probably grow up to appreciate it one day

but trying to compare the amount of material needed, and the size, it looks to match up with Ma'al...maybe less material, it's hard to tell when it's spread out between two dragons and a big rock instead of one solid dragon

I would do $60 but not sure about more than that.  Then again my daughter really did like it when I showed her the screenshots from the video.

I cannot see Dance for more than 30, probably 25, it is not that big.

I dunno, it stands fairly tall and there is a lot of material there. Plus, two dragons = more molds needed

i guess we'll see. I'm hopign for cheaper, but i'm also suspecting it could be more than $30 due to the amount of material and molds it will need

With regards to mold making, it's not so much the overall mass that is costly, but the total surface area or all the parts. The mold maker tries to fit as many parts into a single mold in the flattest possible configuration.

Now dragon wings take up a lot of area, and we have two pairs of them. And that cliff side is going to be something else, at least a two parter. And then the rest of the dragon parts.

Overall, I figure it will be over $30.

I certainly wouldn't say no to some new Drow.  Bobby Jackson's Dark Elves are fine but don't really suit my taste.

Just paint them appropriately [?] instant drow.

I don't get it.

It's a question of apparel.  Drow tend to dress less flowery, more spidery.  Dark Elves, as depicted in most F20 artwork, look, well, "evil."  There are distinct visual queues when compared to most other elves.  Most of Reaper's elf minis, usually intended for PCs, are depicted as heroic figures.

I took a bunch of elves, humans and even a vampire and painted them as kick-butt drow.  I think people really underestimate how much paint can define a figure.

One of my "to be done" projects includes taking some grumpy-looking elf sculpts and painting them up as Drow.

Someone around here painted some vampires up as half-orcs, if I recall.

What a fantastic expansion this new one is! So many fan favorites!

Bloodstone gnomes and cavalry and a Xorn (ish) and a Displacer Cat and Dark Elves and giant fungi and a big round floating carnivorous eye ...

All things people have been clamoring for.  Yay!

I know there are a few folks that do Bolt Action and similar 28mm wargaming (@buglips), so I thought I'd bounce this out there.

      https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tftb/world-war-ii-soviet-railroad?ref=discovery_recommendations

      Story
Railroads are an important means to transport troops, equipment, ammunition and all other kinds of supply to the front. Especially in a country as vast as the Soviet Union with it's endless steppes, only few reliable roads and no major rivers running in the direction of the German advance during Operation Barbarossa in World War II.
With this set of detailed buildings and rolling stock in 1/56 scale for 28mm figures you get the opportunity to recreate the crucial fighting around the Soviet railroad system.
The kits focus on the major pieces of rolling stock available to the Soviet defenders: box cars, gondola cars and flat cars. And the mighty ALCo RSD-1 Diesel Engine which was made available under the US Lend-Lease Act.
Also included is a typical rural train station with optional additional platforms for all who want to depict a Soviet - or captured German - supply depot, where heavy equipment like tanks and guns are being unloaded.
And for all of you looking for an armored train - don't worry! We have you covered.
        Talking about railroad tracks:
We did not see the need to reinvent the wheel, so all kits are designed to be used with
4Ground Railroad Tracks (available as add-ons to the Kickstarter) or O Gauge Model Railroad Tracks The kits include optional parts enabling you to choose your favorite system while assembling. Going this route has allowed us to concentrate on designing and producing the rolling stock only, which has the advantage of an earlier fulfillment date for the Kickstarter.
All models are highly detailed on the outside and inside. The interiors are easily accessible, as roofs are removable. In addition, all doors are moveable, which means you can open or close them during gameplay.

A Viking Girl sculpted by Bobby Jackson. She was a lot of fun to paint since she had a lot of canvas for freehand work. She is also my first serious effort at NMM, so that's a well I plan to return to.

I came to paint her when I asked my friends which model needed to get some love next. I presented a wizard, a ranger, and an armored lady fighter. One chimes in that she'd like to see the fighter (she being a practitioner of HEMA). Her boyfriend mentions something about boob armor. I said, no, she's got pretty normal armor. You want to see something egregious? THIS is egregious. My HEMA friend immediately says, "I'd like to change my vote." So here we are.

Here's the WIP thread for her. Here's my next piece.

This has sod all to do with miniatures, but I would be surprised if there were not people who might want one of these pins, for literally any reason at all.
I'll let the campaign speak for itself, as I usually do; it is pins. There are, as the title implies, representations for most of the common faiths, in a literal rainbow of ... well, Pride rainbows.

"You take your game seriously. Now it's time for a serious screen.
In October of 2018, Dog Might released the first fully sculpted GM Screen, the Valhalla Screen. Since then, we have released over 30 more designs, including officially licensed screens for: Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, and Vampire: The Masquerade. We have also designed screens for you favorite shows, such as Relics and Rarities and the Critical Role stream of Undeadwood. Over the last year and a half, our Valhalla Screens have proven to be our most sought after product. "

... Would it surprise anybody here to know I want one?
If I can't have one, at least I can spread the word. ;p
