WizKids unpainted minis line has a number of cool translucent effects on their heroes. I don't think bones plastic would work as well. The more flexible clear bones plastic isn't all that translucent, and the harder stuff from the weapons sprue, while it is more translucent, is also very hard and might not work as well for a rounded casting.

(Just my speculation, I'm not a Bonesiologist)

Regular, to keep it recognizable. I may do a little gold on the edges of the scales, though, to make him pretty. Mr. Fish deserves the best!

 

The KS comments are fun right now; people are changing their KS names to include what they want in Bones 4 (I'm currently OneBoot "Flumph Gazebo Cat-Dragon), and Bryan is forcing me to make brownies and eat a not-corner piece.

My roommate prefers the corners and edges. I am a sensible woman and prefer the middle pieces. It works well for us :)

I mean, it's sort of like dogs - there are (almost) no bad dogs. There are, however, better dogs.
