Now that I see them, we've been needing some ghouls/ghasts.

I need to have a idea pad whenever I go to prep for a game... and write down all the things I think of, because I know I have been recently thinking "Oh man, we need some more ghouls in bones."

I'm kind of underwhelmed by Darkreach right now. It was initially exciting but it's not exactly matching the Dreadmere expansion both in quantity and variety. I really hope they add some Driders, Umberhulks, Illithids/Mindflayers and an Elder brain.

Darkreach will have four parts, unlike the earlier expansions, which had three.

Less than $4K to go.

And now I feel all productive and stuff. Cleaned my seconded Khanjira (so many mold lines) and used the new green liner (anyone else notice a strange plasticizer smell?) to prep him. Now to figure out how to make a fedora that'll go around the horns.

Also, Monte Cook's tweet about Bones 4 is bee free and one of the 1star reviews on Reaper's FB has been reversed.

I have noticed an odd scent to the liners, kind of ... alcohol-y, or something like that. It's quite distinct from most acrylic paint aromas.

Glad to hear it! I want to get Darkreach, it just needs to fill out a bit more.
I think part of the reason I like Dreadmere so much is there's a bit of everything... towns people, monsters, guards, boats and a giant pack turtle. It would be nice if Darkreach did the same but for the underdark.

It comes up from time to time that someone suggests that we could do better if we revealed every goal up front and none of this "stupid waiting another 8k nonsense".

And my question is - suppose we revealed everything on day one, as suggested. $5,000,000.00 worth of rewards. and you all came in and added to your pledges exactly once, and then we waited. and at the end, we made $3M. how should we handle backers who pledged for rewards we priced and revealed, but didn't raise enough to pay for all of the molds? Some of those backers need refunds now. And now we raised even LESS than it said we did. Ugh. Nightmare.

No, this may be frustrating for some people, but this is the way we have to do it. We reveal nothing until we are confident that we can achieve it, mold it, and deliver it. We're ~72 hours out to the farthest out goal, so we're confident that even though we aren't there, we will be there in time to not fail.

I post this here so YOU all can understand, because I can't say it in a way that doesn't make me sound like a jerk, because this is a ridiculously well-thought out process, and I dislike being told I'm doing it wrong, and the snippiness is palpable in my tone.

I'm curmudgeonly and not afraid to be critical-

But I think you guys are going about this absolutely the best way. Sometimes I wonder actually if there aren't too many previews. Like a lot of the things shown at Reapercon last year didn't seem to excite people on here as much, luckily only super Reaper fans were following close enough. Or if there's a few images or the live video shared, it seems people are less excited when that item gets revealed as a goal. Which makes sense, people want to see new things, as soon as something isn't new it's less exciting. And like you said, you don't want to reveal things that may be goals never reached. Your reveal plan is brilliant and its success is proven.

I know I'm bringing this back fairly late, but those kitties weren't that expensive in metal back when the boneyard was still a thing.  I think it would make more sense to ask for the cats to be available in metal rather than Bones.

I suspect that this crowd would buy quite a few cat packs.  :;):

I support cat sprues. But I suspect the end results would be a bit odd. "Why do all these heroes have cats on their bases? Wait, why do these goblins have cats? Err...why does this beholder have a cat with it?"

At the end of the day, it's yalls party. I love nearly everything Reaper does, and the kickstarters are super fun. Most of us wouldn't have an inkling how to stage this nearly as well.

That being said, patience is a learned thing. I hope y'all don't mind the suggestions and beggings of your fans. I have ten kids, and imagine that this forum must seem like my kids at Christmas. A whole bunch of "I want!!" But the ideas must somewhat help flesh out the product line.

Keep up the good work, Reaper!

Easy answer, in the campaign world (or Ulthar) no being may kill a cat.

I know there are a few folks that do Bolt Action and similar 28mm wargaming (@buglips), so I thought I'd bounce this out there.

      https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tftb/world-war-ii-soviet-railroad?ref=discovery_recommendations

      Story
Railroads are an important means to transport troops, equipment, ammunition and all other kinds of supply to the front. Especially in a country as vast as the Soviet Union with it's endless steppes, only few reliable roads and no major rivers running in the direction of the German advance during Operation Barbarossa in World War II.
With this set of detailed buildings and rolling stock in 1/56 scale for 28mm figures you get the opportunity to recreate the crucial fighting around the Soviet railroad system.
The kits focus on the major pieces of rolling stock available to the Soviet defenders: box cars, gondola cars and flat cars. And the mighty ALCo RSD-1 Diesel Engine which was made available under the US Lend-Lease Act.
Also included is a typical rural train station with optional additional platforms for all who want to depict a Soviet - or captured German - supply depot, where heavy equipment like tanks and guns are being unloaded.
And for all of you looking for an armored train - don't worry! We have you covered.
        Talking about railroad tracks:
We did not see the need to reinvent the wheel, so all kits are designed to be used with
4Ground Railroad Tracks (available as add-ons to the Kickstarter) or O Gauge Model Railroad Tracks The kits include optional parts enabling you to choose your favorite system while assembling. Going this route has allowed us to concentrate on designing and producing the rolling stock only, which has the advantage of an earlier fulfillment date for the Kickstarter.
All models are highly detailed on the outside and inside. The interiors are easily accessible, as roofs are removable. In addition, all doors are moveable, which means you can open or close them during gameplay.

A Viking Girl sculpted by Bobby Jackson. She was a lot of fun to paint since she had a lot of canvas for freehand work. She is also my first serious effort at NMM, so that's a well I plan to return to.

I came to paint her when I asked my friends which model needed to get some love next. I presented a wizard, a ranger, and an armored lady fighter. One chimes in that she'd like to see the fighter (she being a practitioner of HEMA). Her boyfriend mentions something about boob armor. I said, no, she's got pretty normal armor. You want to see something egregious? THIS is egregious. My HEMA friend immediately says, "I'd like to change my vote." So here we are.

Here's the WIP thread for her. Here's my next piece.

This has sod all to do with miniatures, but I would be surprised if there were not people who might want one of these pins, for literally any reason at all.
I'll let the campaign speak for itself, as I usually do; it is pins. There are, as the title implies, representations for most of the common faiths, in a literal rainbow of ... well, Pride rainbows.

In October of 2018, Dog Might released the first fully sculpted GM Screen, the Valhalla Screen. Since then, we have released over 30 more designs, including officially licensed screens for: Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, and Vampire: The Masquerade. We have also designed screens for you favorite shows, such as Relics and Rarities and the Critical Role stream of Undeadwood. Over the last year and a half, our Valhalla Screens have proven to be our most sought after product. "

... Would it surprise anybody here to know I want one?
If I can't have one, at least I can spread the word. ;p
