It happens. People hit an unexpected bill and have to drop their pledge dollars down to something lower. I'm surprised with hurricane Harvey going on that it's not happening more.

Yes, there are far more important things than our toys. ::(:

It does suck when stuff hits but I always chant my motto, "That's what credit cards are for!"  I just had the Destiny 2 pre order I did hit my bank account. I was not expecting that to happen until Sept since the game is out on the 6th.  Oops.

Remmember when Reaper told us that it is hard to tell females apart from males if they wear sensible clothing and dont have a caricature of feminine features. I can see that, but that just gives you the option of saying that something is a feminine male or just a normal female. So I don't really see a problem with it. You can paint duplicates as oposite gender (give a man a stuble, I say), you could allready do it to most female mages and rouges (it's a male elf I tell you).

To be fair that wasn't Reaper that said that. That was one person who sculpts (but I don't think has sculpted for Reaper). Obviously all the existing female Reaper figures in action poses and the males in passive poses prove that's not a "rule".

I know what they meant but the existing fire and frost queens look like they are bashful or flirting with the adventurers. I'm not saying each female giant needs to have her face contorted and be angry, but Izzy's art is proof something can look both female and deadly/prepared/active.

I think it was more than one person ;). At least I have memories of the discussion happening in multiple places at multiple times with different people. In the end we seem to be understating the importance of how something is painted. Free hand and even clothing patterns and colours can give a lot of character to a miniature. Imagine painting the existing female giants as drunkards. But it is nice having some more warlike, sensible clothing female giants.

Correct.  Reaper did not say it, I did. Yes, I am a Reaper Sculptor, but no I don't do many humans for them (or anyone for that matter; monsters, creatures, animals, and terrain are my specialties).

I also didn't say caricature. It is just more difficult, not impossible to read female and full expression at the same time.  It takes skill, something you will find in both Izzy and Reaper's top humanoid sculptors.  Could I do it?  I'm not sure.  I have twice on smiling figures, but it took several tries.

This is all information I got from taking Bobby Jackson's Expressive Faces class.  Bobby is one of Reaper's primary humanoid sculptors.

Am now tempted to try to convert a male giant into a female since I got all the giants from KS3. Need to see if there is anyone with no facial hair tho...

it would be really hard to cut a massive beard off then sculpt a face back on since I am the worst at anything related to clay.

Edit: yeah ...all males look like they have a significant amount of facial hair from pics online so that would be far beyond my skill set.

All the Frost Giant Queens I've seen here, none have looked bashful or flirtatious to me. I've always seen a cold stare on her face, like she's trying to decide between ordering her guards to squish the player characters, or let them pass and neglect to mention the white dragon who has set up shop at the entrance to the next valley.
