I would be interested to know how big the new stone giants are.  Have they been scaled up as Reaper has done with other giants, or are they compatible in size with the earlier stone giant (77336)?

Is there a reason reaper scaled up their giants? And is it really noticeable between the old sculpts and the new? My goal is to collect all the reaper giants someday and I'm wondering if I should just skip the older ones if they're gonna be a lot smaller.

D&D 5th made giants huge, perviouslg some where the large side of large.

I don't know about every single sculpt, but the original Bones fire giants (and frost giants too?) are smaller than the older metal giants, and smaller than the most recent versions put out in Bones 3 and 4.

 

If you're looking for the Bones 3 versions you might occasionally find some on eBay. I don't think they've hit retail yet. 

 

In terms of why it matters, it's nice to have giants that are actually giant. The original bones giants aren't much taller than a lot of Reaper's ogres.

Reaper themselves stated in the update, that collecting the VAT was new information to them. There are a few problems with this, one being that some backers are from inside Europe but outside the EU (Norway, Switzerland, ...) who have to pay VAT in their country again when getting a package through the UK. Apparently you can mark packages as destined to end up outside the EU and don't pay VAT when importing into the UK or something similar, but the way it is right now those backers pay VAT twice.

Same problem would potentially occur in case of a "hard Brexit" with all the other EU backers.

 

And ofc, it's kind of killing the 48-hours hype when you log in to your pledge manager and see that you blew your budget without adding anything.

 

What you are saying is that for Norway for example, if Reaper had collected the vat, and shipped from the U.K., there is no way to tell Norway, "ok here's your vat, it's been paid, you don't have to collect it from this person."? If there wasn't a way for Reaper to forward the vat on to Norway, and the person had to pay the vat, I would expect there to be a refund from somewhere (like Reaper). So I still don't get how you would have A doubled vat (that wouldn't in some way be refunded.)

Wow, I really liked the video!  Thanks for sharing it.  Something about the improvised aspect of it, and getting to hear the sculptor take such pride in her work, made the figures all the more appealing.  Makes me wish Reaper would have more sculptors show off their own work...
