Considering Argent is just an inch shy of the colossal red dragon figure from Wizards I honestly think hes the best deal in quite awhile for in game DoD is awesome as a set piece though. and looking at the pose im thinking i might sneak a clear sticky tac piece right on his back to have a figure perched their as a rider.

 

Currently planning a good final battle with a Ancient Red/Black with a Lich Riding or a Gold/Silver with a Solar on his back if the party is an evil one

well, I'm looking at just under $700. Still a lot less than last kickstarter, and even within throwing distance of my mental budget.

 

core, big demon guy, huntsman, trolls, amazons, tree of despair, glowy paints, baba's house, c-cans, Big Bird, giant girls (with clothes, even,) large-scale female demon (And brother), scenics, ent, one of each expansion and the barge. Plus spare apes for supers RPGs.

 

What I'm wondering is if reaper is going to add stuff in post-kickstarter, like last time.

 

The dragons, especally DoD look nice, but I have too many dragons from previous kickstarters already; I'll never paint them all. The giant snake would be fun to paint up as a jade statue for scenery, but I'm getting a ton of scenery this KS already. Dragon turtle for a space creature, but I've got space creatures already (Even if they aren't as nice, damit) Rocky to maybe give to cousins, but by the time the KS showed up they'd probably be out of the age range of appreciating them. dinosaurs. Dinosaurs. DINOSAURS (Forces my 10-year-old-self to look away from the pledge manager).

I pledged $300. Thought I was in pretty good shape, but pledge calculator has me at $993.00 + $25.82 shipping.... Gah.. $1018.82... So that means I have to find $718.82 before the pledge manager closes...

 

That breaks down to

$152.00 in core set extras

$4.00 in flight poles

$337.00 in Add ons

 just spot adding... This looks like it will be my most expensive Kickstarter. 2nd one was $800 in pirate ships and 3rd was bones 3...

I'll be pondering whether or not to add Argent and the Skeletal Dragon later.  I like them, and I did want to get a dragon this go-round, but boy did I blow the budget already.  Gotta start the restraint somewhere.  

 

Nyarlathotep is a must.

 

I'm a little frustrated by the Fan Favorites.  There are some things, maybe even "enough" things, that I want and can almost justify the expansion.  But I'm getting very strong reactions against the items that I don't want.  It's an extreme want/don't want situation.  I want those maggots.  I want the dark dwarves.  I want the Bog Skeletons.  I want that Mammoth.  The rest?  No--I just don't have a purpose for them.  Truthfully, I could do without the dwarves, but I like duergar like some folks like drow.

 

I had also hoped to see Stygian Barge III.  I am very intrigued by that...Charon?  Crowned Wraith King?  Inquiring minds want to know.

My pledge amount has been going down in each subsequent Bones kickstarter since the first. In Bones 3 I didn't even get the core or any of the expansions.

That looks to change with Bones 4. It's easier to list what I have little or no interest in than to list what I want.

Agreed. I like that Mammoth (actually want 2 -4) and I like the catfolk and bard... the rest I could live without...

This is about $300 more than Bones 3 for me... I did not get the expansions in 3... Really want to get them this time. Though Chronoscope is out... I like 4 figures in it and want 20 of 1 of those 4...

 

I hope they leave the pledge manager open a little longer this time.. Really want 4 of the barges.... I think I can make them into

A: a pirate ship

B: a pirate hunter

C: A flying ship

D: a Starwars Hutt Sky barge

 I had to work hard to narrow down my selections to the bare minimum of stuff I was absolutely positive I really wanted. Anything above and beyond that which might get added later is entirely dependent on finances and whether or not I find better things to spend my money on.

I held out well in the end.  Locked in for Nargaulath, Fire/Hill Giant Houndsmen, Blacksting, and the big Treant.  

 

So far I am still holding strong on NOT ordering DoD but it looked even better on the after party video.  I love it but I just have too many unpainted dragons so I really need to be strong.

 

That fan favorite Xpac has stuff that I absolutely love  (portal, slaad) but I'm going to have to wait for retail on those... hoping on seeing the slaad in metal tbh...

 

Will wait to see some of the concept art realized as masters before I decide on them... (frost giants, devils,nyarlathotep)

I ended up pledging less than what I know will be my minimum order. Decided that I could use the cash elsewhere right now. The PM will be used...

This puts me at $347 with shipping which is my limit at the moment. I hadn't planned on buying a bunch of giants but after seeing the models and because I already own a few I went for groups of them.

 

Haven't worked out what my total list cost will be yet because I'm a bit scared to see it.
