There's a bit of a mystery regarding the barge that's been bothering me.

I just wondered the same thing in the info thread. Double translucent souls if we get both passenger souls and desperate clinging souls would be awesome, but its hard to tell what they meant.

Pledged for $200 because that seemed like a reasonable amount to actually spend... but PM is estimating more like $500 for all the things I want to get. Need to decide if Im still going to be as interested in all the lost world dinosaur type stuff in 18 months time when Id receive it or if I can save a bit of money there.

Observation on the final totals: Its good to see Reaper's strategy they mentioned of more core goals to attract backers seems to have worked! Number of backers for Bones 4 is second only to Bones 1. Im curious how theyll evaluate it in the end, since it gave 2nd highest overall backers, but at the same time 3rd highest total funding and 4th/lowest average pledge per backer. I guess in the end growing the market with new backers can only be a good thing for everyone even if they missed out on 1 or 2 particular molds they might have liked to reach.

@Smokestack New Zealand has a weird thing where it has a threshold of $60 for duty and GST where you wont get charged for importing things, $205 is right on the edge and if I go over its about and extra $104 NZD and it gets seized by customs until I pay it. soooo I think ill keep it how it is

@MarvnMartian Thats a smart idea but dont you have to have backed the kickstarter to order them?

I believe others in this situation have created more than one Kickstarter account and pledged in each one for less than whatever cutoff they needed to watch out for.  The issue I see is that if they all come to the same person at roughly the same time, customs could decide they are all one combined import.  So having different names and addresses would be advisable, if possible.

It is possible to place orders in the Pledge Manager even if you did not put a dollar or more into the Kickstarter, but it will cost more for those who do that.  I'm not sure how much more.

re: barge

i would get it, it is a good deal at $30, except it is so very niche as a skeletal undead ship.

We would need a genreric ship for gaming, not one with ribs and skulls

Necromancers should be able to travel in style, too.

Between the ghost pirates and ghosts as part of the second reveal, I really need to get that Shipwreck Revenant.

I should also add that I purchased multiple column-topper sets.  I did not purchase the skulls.  There were more than enough already on the crypt and walls.

I capped off at $717.  I might add a few more things, but I'm about where I figured I would end up.

The Egg

A mighty number!

well Pledge manager being  open 12 months out that means I have to spend like $60 a month for the next year... that does not seem that bad actually.

Still trying to justify... That's $15/ week, or $2.10/day... That's cheap right?

Yes

I pledge less each KS, the last I spent $127 more. Which makes sense when you aren't a gamer, bones have always been marketed as a affordable game item for tabletop.

Yeah my first draws are always with gaming in mind. If there is room after then I go for "that's cool!" stuff that I might not use.

Was out with the wife for my birthday so I missed then end of the craziness.  Kind of bummed we didn't get the big capstone piece that was hinted at. But the Argent is pretty cool and we'll priced.

Without having to dig through all the pages, how did this KS compare to the others?

Did Reaper set the SG at too big of increments towards the end?  I know they were trying to bring in more money but seems to me more sculpts would be more profitable in the long run, so maybe they shouldn't have had such big gaps between unlocks?

I am not hating on Reaper at all!  I would never be able to run a KS as successful as this one and don't imagine many companies could either.  I am only curious what other people's thoughts are.

I think its probably more to do with their focus on core goals and sets this time. Expanding the core gives more incentive for new backers to join, but doesnt require existing backers to up their pledge at all to add the new models - so a lot of the unlocked goals in the last 2 days didnt give people a new incentive to up their pledge. Same partly applies to sets - they only have a single pledge cost to acquire multiple unlocks so youre not going to get as much hype or as much additional pledging compared to individual add-ons. The core and sets rely more on new backers instead of existing backers upping their pledges which imho is where a lot of the final hours hype usually comes from.

Just cut $700 out of my pledge manager to coincide with the $300 I have already paid to do the first lock in when pledge manager officially opens. That was super hard deciding what will be locked in first...

Mine was already pretty much set a week ago, since I am on a real tight budget, mine was only 41 bucks, but its the stuff I really want. Once more ebay funds come in, I'll be able to use any of that through paypal since that is all my money:)

Yes, they achieved what they wanted, which was new backers, which on the one hand will hopefully translate into repeat customers once they see what else reaper has. And honestly, the last 24 hours of add on reveals were good, but in some people's minds not great. Unfortunately what I think was the ultimate killer the last few weeks, up to the last few days, were forces (mostly) entirely out of Reaper's control. Namely:

1) possibly not a big hit, but some still pulled there pledges (or so the people said), but that whole fiasco with a reaper employee getting in to it with a customer about Charlottesville and Ed Pugh having to come out and formerly apologize. That certainly didn't help

2) The image update issues that started two days ago and persisted even after the KS closed, that took a lot of steam out.

3) The whole VAT issue with UK/EU backers.

4) and yes, the long stretches between goals.

Any one of those, the KS may have gone farther, but to have all these issues, especially with some happening in the last days, really took it's toll I think. If the first three had not happened, I think this would have been the second best Kickstarter in both pledged money and backers.
