Actually the scales are the reason I'm NOT getting Argent.

If those would be filled out I might buy him after all.

I like his pose and size, but the scales put me off.

The scales are indeed strange, and I am hoping something different is done

if not, I intend to use a scalpel and smooth his hide of them (since there really aren't that many if they stay like they are)

First let me say welcome to the forum! And congrats on your first post!

There are very few of us who haven't said that next time we will be more picky, and then quickly failed that Will roll when the new cool minis were revealed!

If you are going to be using your minis for gaming I would recommend basing of some kind.  It helps stabilize them so they're less likely to get knocked over, and they provided a surface for folks to pick them up from so your paintwork isn't constantly being handled.  The Reaper bases in the Kickstarter are a good deal if you decide to go that route.

My husband is the one who says must be much more picky. I don't know where he gets his ideas from. I fully acknowledge my insanity. ALL THE THINGS!

LOL!   Well, I have to say that each Kickstarter the little voice that says "be picky" gets smaller and softer.  It's been 4 times now, and I'm sane enough to realize the "be picky" side of me is fighting a losing fight.

I pretty much went in with the intention to grab everything that seems useful in building a solid Fantasy enemy catalog. You never know what kind of campaign you might be running in 2 years. And I have so few minis at home, given that this was my first Bones KS.  I might even be able to paint them all in a realistic time frame.

So I'm not feeling bad for getting ALL the bones.

Yeah, each time I have said 'no, I don't really need that' (Kaladrax, Fire Giants, Cinder) and regretted it later.

I met Awesome Wife for the first time at a Medieval Dinner theater in Boston.  The second time we met was at King Richards Faire.  And just this morning she asked me to show her how to paint miniatures!

I'm planning on get one of mostly everything in the PM.  If Awesome Wife gets into painting in a big way, then I may need to get some more duplicates of some things.

I wish argent was larger.  He's in scale with maaldrakar I believe which makes sense, I could use a larger bahamut (18-20 inch tall would be ideal) to though but hey, will get what is available.  :) Just a few mods to the head and argent will be an ideal bahamut.

Also, what was the final unlock? The art book?  Was hoping for some other crazy big stuff at the end but oh well. Still lots of cool stuff.

That is the issue I am having with the barge

we don't need it right now...but will we later, when it is twice as expensive?

is it something we would actually ever use?

hard decision

I need it now. I will get it in 18 months. Maybe in 18 months you'll need it. :poke:
