The price point is what I liked about argent as well, definitely getting him! The Morlocs are awesome, already have a diorama in mind for them if I can find a nice george and weena stand in's:)

I was going to recommend Andre Durand. tiime chaser for George, but you'd need to do a bit of converting on him.  I don't know where you might find a Victorian gentlemen in worn afternoon apparel, or a semi-futuristic teenage girl with the proper expression of innocence to be Weena.  I hope you are able to find the pieces you need though, since I would love to see this diorama from The Time Machine, if and when you are able to make it.

I *have* to say we're NOT DONE like that because I learned years ago that if I don't, some numbskull chimes in with OH MY GOD THEY ARE OUT OF REWARDS THIS IS THE END THERE'S NO MORE PANIC PANIC PANIC and you people FREAK out like we turned a firehose on a nursery full of kittens.  You'll note I had to keep saying "AND WE"RE NOT DONE WITH CORE" because somebody would *inevitably* say ".. uh so, I guess there's no more core, huh? What a ripoff".

SO i make a point, when I am confident that we will have more reveals, of saying that I know there are more reveals.

That you people want to interpret that as "oh, this isn't the capstone" is on you people.

For that matter, all this gnashing of teeth over what is and isn't a "capstone" - where does this obsession come from? We have 5 goals we saved for the end, that were our big point-of-pride-something-new-and-(for us)-revolutionary and those are what I think of as Capstones. Blacksting, Dance of Death, Barge, Argent, Treeman.

First off, Capstone is MY TERM. I made it up to describe Nethyrmaul (in Bones 1, remember that $1,000,000 was a pie-in-the-sky goal to us - I personally bet on 1.1 mil) , Kaladrax, C'thulhu, DDS2, Khanjira, Ma'alDrakar, T'Raukzul, and these 5 things.

I feel like here you guys have ascribed some mythic, intrinsic quality that, honestly, never existed.

I know what you mean by having to say we are not done yet:) We have to leave the last verse of our sermon up during running the church service, or else people think the pastor is done and will walk out before the end:(

Turning a firehose on a nursery of kittens, very evil:)

And the core is definitely NOT a ripoff, very pleased:)

Honestly I think DoD is the capstone, and was happy when we reached it. I just think everone was expecting another DDS, seeing as many of the big pieces FIT into DDS2. Maybe we have just all become spoiled, and for me, I am sorry:)

Never my intention to tick you guys off, and sorry if I came off that way:)

Yah I definitely have time to find suitable stand in's:) Probably will work on a "NOT" wizard of oz diorama with my extra set of wild west oz figures soon to keep myself busy:)

idea for capstone of bones 5. literal capstone.

joking aside, This was an awesome kickstarter.I felt like everything in the last few hours could have been considered a capstone reveal. Each was pretty awesome.

A little literal capstone. Or maybe a single arch with capstone that fits into Dragons Don't Share.

Now that the useless idea is out of my system...

I actually have the 'satisfaction in a kickstarter well done' feeling. Although to be fair, this was the first kickstarter I had personal money in. I've always been able to feel that KS excitement for other people, both the creators and the backers, but never have I been a part of it. I have to say, it doesn't feel much different on either end. It's still the same feeling of excitement and satisfaction I've always felt for kickstarters I like, money in it or no. Maybe it will change after I get pledge managing or after stuff comes in the mail and I lose my desk under minis. Or after I dump more money in the PM because I need more stuff ::P:

And here I am, silly me, thinking that the Fan Favorite Expansion, Lost Valley Expansions, and the dinosaurs were all suitable capstones :)  Dragons are cool, but they aren't the prehistoric beast I grew up with and was shaped by in the early 90s.

Lol, it's all good.  I just hope that I can squeeze out more money out of my budget to add into the PM in the coming months.  I did not get near what I wanted to grab before the Kickstarter ran up.  If nothing else, I feel obligated to grab a Core Set before it's too late!

Heck, upon checking my current PM order, literally everything in there so far is for my wife and step-daughter.  I haven't got anything for myself yet!  Maybe I can start fixing that after my next paycheck....

Thank you very much for wandering into this thread and interacting with us! It is most definitely appreciated. Also great to see how you are viewing things.

I believe that several of the last items also stack up to previous capstone pieces. Many fantastic sculpts this time.

I also believe that those of us who have partaken in previous Bones Kickstarters are spoiled. Reaper is awesome and loads deal upon fantastic deal upon us. I know that I myself got caught up in all the excitement and wanting to see more and more and more added, even at the end.

TL;DR: Reaper is awesome and runs awesome kickstarters, even if some of us get too caught up in things.

DoD is my capstone. It is the one piece in this KS that has me wishing i could have it now.

There are lots of cool things in this KS, and i'm getting more than i have from any other KS, but none of them match DoD in terms of how much I want it, and want it now.

The dinosaurs are awesome, i've been wanting nice dinosaur miniatures (not toys) for a long while. The expansions are amazing, for the first time in any of the Ks's i'm getting more than just 1 expansion.

Skeletal dragon, zombie dragon, Blacksting, all super cool and i will eagerly paint them up. Argent too, depending on how his scales end up.

I'm sorry If i am letting my IRL issues get in the way of everyone else's fun and misreading things because of it. I wanted something amazing that day because i was on the edge of utter despair, so when nothing showed up that wow'd me to the extent Ma'al had (and with the mis-interpreted reading of the 'more to come' statement), i let my emotions get the better of me and vented my opinion here about it.

But i do know now i cannot separate IRL from how i talk online and i'll keep that in mind before responding to anything else

The final capstone for Bones V: Capstone Pillar. A big terrain piece, modelling a durable rock (the caprock) at the top of a formation protecting the squishy rocks directly below it.

Then ReaperBryan won't have to explain what THE CAPSTONE is; it will be an obvious rock.

I may be biased due to being a geologist.... but I'd buy a Capstone terrain piece. Just make it big enough for us to perch a big dragon on, yeah? Or the roc! ROC ON ROCK!

If one person takes your meaning in a way you didn't intend, it's just one of those things. Fix the misinterpretation to the best of your ability and move on.

If many people take your meaning in the same way and that's not the way you intended, you need to start looking at how you could communicate better.

It wasn't a single person who got the wrong impression this time.

I'm quite satisfied with the offerings from this campaign, and I don't think I've said otherwise. But because I misunderstood your intent (for whatever reason), I found the end of the campaign less climactic than I expected. My impression is that my experience was not unique.

My take? I think there might have been too many focal pieces (capstones, crescendi, whatever) too closely spaced at the end of the campaign for any of them to get the attention they deserved, especially when you're also trying to manage live content in the middle of a party. But that's from sitting outside of your building and without any insider knowledge, so take it as you will.

NB: "You" here is intended to be any or all of the people at Reaper who make the decisions involved or manage the functions involved. I do not intend any of the above to be a knock on any particular person. I understand that there are many people involved in public communication during a Kickstarter project.

I'm actually a bit surprised that people aren't more excited about Argent. A 30cm tall dragon, which is standing on a relatively small piece of terrain, and not rearing up on it's hind legs is going to be monstrous! If I remember correctly. Ma'aldrakar is around the same height, but is curled up on a large terrain piece, rather than standing flat on four legs.

I think that I am personally a bit more excited for Dance of Death, but they're both pretty awesome.

Yep, Ma'al is 12 inches tall when fully assembled. I keep pulling out my ruler, staring at it, staring at Argent on the screen, then holding the ruler next to my Ma'al and staring some more. Yeah, Argent's gonna be a BIIIIIG dragon!

Also, I didn't fully realize just how long the ghost ship was until I laid my ruler on my computer desk and realized that at 14 inches, the ship is not only longer than my ruler, it's nearly the length of my keyboard!

Those two, plus Blacksting and Mossbeard and of course Dance of Death are all awesome capstone pieces that I'm really looking forward to having in my hands. Still trying to figure out how to justify actually pledging for the ship, though; our limited storage spaces are starting to be overrun by gigantic minis.

Huzzah!

Truth be told, I personally love DOD and Blacksting.  Mal is great and shows Julie's amazing skill.  DoD and Blacksting show not only that skill, but are elevated artistically as well.  The pose and flow of both pieces have me stunned. Blacksting is the piece though in this KS that most has my painting hand twitching.  I might have to get 2.

Yes, massive pieces. One of those things where seeing a little scale on the side that says 12" high doesn't mean anything near as much as mini on table next to other things.

Store Ma'al on the barge?

Agreed. Those are fantastic sculpts. I cannot wait to get my hands on them. I'm only worried about painting them!
