I *have* to say we're NOT DONE like that because I learned years ago that if I don't, some numbskull chimes in with OH MY GOD THEY ARE OUT OF REWARDS THIS IS THE END THERE'S NO MORE PANIC PANIC PANIC and you people FREAK out like we turned a firehose on a nursery full of kittens.  You'll note I had to keep saying "AND WE"RE NOT DONE WITH CORE" because somebody would *inevitably* say ".. uh so, I guess there's no more core, huh? What a ripoff".

SO i make a point, when I am confident that we will have more reveals, of saying that I know there are more reveals.

That you people want to interpret that as "oh, this isn't the capstone" is on you people.

For that matter, all this gnashing of teeth over what is and isn't a "capstone" - where does this obsession come from? We have 5 goals we saved for the end, that were our big point-of-pride-something-new-and-(for us)-revolutionary and those are what I think of as Capstones. Blacksting, Dance of Death, Barge, Argent, Treeman.

First off, Capstone is MY TERM. I made it up to describe Nethyrmaul (in Bones 1, remember that $1,000,000 was a pie-in-the-sky goal to us - I personally bet on 1.1 mil) , Kaladrax, C'thulhu, DDS2, Khanjira, Ma'alDrakar, T'Raukzul, and these 5 things.

I feel like here you guys have ascribed some mythic, intrinsic quality that, honestly, never existed.

Well, he's a drawing on a piece of paper. So I cannot give you a height or width or anything. But yes, that is supposed to provide a sense of scale relative to a human-analogue miniature.

I take one thing away from all this.  You coined a new phrase that get's your fans super excited, "capstone".   It had far more impact than you anticipated, which isn't a bad thing.  This sounds like something you can capitalize on in future kickstarters :)

I'm just going to go "squeeeee dragons and death boats and treethings" and call it good. I like pretty much all of them, and the BF likes the ones I am less inclined towards (Nyarlotep and the skeletal dragon). I think Reaper gave us a good haul of treasure here. Even unpainted, plopping one of the big beasties on the table will make gamers pee a bit in fright.

Still think it would be hilarious to have a capstone caprock. *bad puns*

Argent is so cool!  I am super pumped for him.  I think that there has been enough murmur around here that there will be an attempt to change the scales which I think would be good but I also don't want the scales to look too similar to other dragons in the bone line.

I wonder if his pose is what had people a little down on him and maybe not think of him as a capstone?  I like the majestic pose but so many of the Bones dragons have a more aggressive appearance so I think that some people might have overlooked how cool he looks.  Just a thought though.

Also, I didn't fully realize just how long the ghost ship was until I laid my ruler on my computer desk and realized that at 14 inches, the ship is not only longer than my ruler, it's nearly the length of my keyboard!

Well not longer then my ruler, but mines one of those corked back metal 18" rulers:) Might be as long as my keyboard though:)

It's smaller than my laptop.

To be fair, I have a ginormous old laptop.

Yep, Ma'al is 12 inches tall when fully assembled. I keep pulling out my ruler, staring at it, staring at Argent on the screen, then holding the ruler next to my Ma'al and staring some more. Yeah, Argent's gonna be a BIIIIIG dragon!

I had to get my ruler out to check for myself... yes that is going to be a HUGE dragon!  I'm  going to have to figure out something for my display shelves with Argent, Blacksting , DoD and Gauth.  Aren't they all about the same height?

That's not to mention Nyarlathotep or the mossbeard which are also massive!  I see Sir Forscale in comparison to Mossbeard but how many inches do you think he is?  8-9 inches?

I've asked before, but no answer forthcoming:

Has anyone started compiling a list of the Bones 4 figures? It would be awesome if there was a master spreadsheet with listings of each figure with links to the reapermini.com image for all the Bones Kickstarters... I have my personal one, but it's missing quite a few figures I decided not to paint, and there are still many Bones 3 figs not listed on the site.

I don't have anything finalized yet, but have started trying to capture some of the Bones 4 Kickstarter information. I'll try and separate that out of my Bones tracking sheet and get that up for some sharing tomorrow.

Unless I'm mistaken, I think Argent is Reaper's first digitally sculpted dragon (+/- one dragon turtle).

It'll be interesting to see how much fine detail can be packed in model that size and still be noticeable once cast/moulded.

At $20, I think Argent will be the first 'Capstone' I buy multiples of.

I bought 2 Ma'als with visions of painting and selling one to recoup costs for the KS. As of yet, hundreds of people have viewed my sales, but no buyers, sadly.
