20 in postage is for a pretty big package, as in 10kg/22lb worth, so again, not adding up.

I believe it is using a fairly large box as the minimum order (not saying this is right or wrong). I placed a starting order of 2 flight stands ($2) and had $21 of shipping applied. I have since added another $500 of items, which has increased shipping by $2 :)

For me this is fine, as I know I need the bigger box. You may be better reaching out to Reaper and asking them about small orders. Interestingly, I had thought that Reaper used Aetherworks for delivery over here, which has a standard rates table for Kickstarters, so I am not sure why they are hooking into AusPost.

During the campaign the rates were not final, nor were the taxes included.
Taxes and crate size may play a major part in the extra costs.
For me the rates are still reasonable for a medium-big pakage, but from what I heard about the small ones; not so much.
Personally I feel happy it was not CMON rising sun levels of bad (increased from $25 to +$40 plus a lot if you were in rular areas )

But without a statement by Reaper the only thing we can do is speculate.

I find it a bit confusing to not see a total in the PM until you are over your pledge amount. That's why I  checked out twice, I had roughly $75 left after the first go around.

Our pledge did cover

Core

Dreadmere

Darkreach

Lost Valley

Fan Favorites

Hill Giants

Wraiths

Narglauth

Fire Giant Huntsman

Trolls

Tree

Roc

Thunderfoot

Fantasy Scenics

Blacktooth

with the bf paying for scenery and dino stuff and me paying for the rest.

I really need to figure out how many and what kinds of bases I need.

Out of everything, I'm most looking forward to Narglauth. It bears a strong resemblance to the gargoyle from Milton Bradley's old Hero Quest board game. The nostalgia is powerful.

That gargoyle is the best thing about Hero Quest.

 Obligatory video....

I would recommend asking your question in the Information thread, since questions can get buried in this thread. Link below.

I've emailed reaper directly. Will report back when i get a response

I'm just not a fan of people telling me that there isn't a problem, or trying to justify the result, when there has been a significant change, which matches what i saw when reaper was using UPS tables for base boss shipping.

We have made adjustments to AU/Pacific Zone shipping. Rates for small parcels should be more realistic

PSA:

THE SOONER YOU LOCK YOUR FIRST PLEDGE IN THE SOONER YOUR STUFF GETS SHIPPED IN YOUR WAVE.

So, if I was in wave 1 and was the first person to lock in, my goodies would be shipped first, no matter how many additional orders I did. But if I'm in wave 1 and I don't bother locking anything in until July 31, well, I may not be dead last, but I won't be first.

Now, this excludes international backers. All their stuff gets boxed up and set out before NA.

Also, note that once reaper gets the gears on their shipping construct oiled up nicely, each wave only takes like, a day and half, or so.

But some people care about being first

I guess I'm just really patient, lol.  Sure, I'll lock in when I get a chance, but when the wait time is going to be almost two years, what difference is a day or two going to make?  For Bones 3, I locked in early, and completely forgot about it.  Then all of a sudden I start getting emails saying that it's all getting shipped out, and that was fun.  It was like being a kid at Christmas all over again, especially since I had forgotten most of what I had ordered.  I would like to have a similar feeling for this Bones as well, plus with the models for the rest of my family it will be even more exciting for me.

Haha, I fully understood it will make nearly no difference in the grand scheme of things.... however I also knew that as soon as it becomes available I want to get it as soon as possible. I'm both patient enough to actually fund this and impatient enough that I checked sporadically for wave 1 openings (grabbed one) and finalized my first order within 18 minutes of the update email :)

i dont know because i had to drop out of bones 2 and 3 due to funds. right now for me to get everything i have to add 450 more ontop of 600 initial pledge. which i will do but need to replace computer soon and thats atleast 1k due to me liking me some WoW.

WoW.  My wife and I played (she still does I gave up a year ago) and our machines were less than $700.  She has had heat issues but I blame her for going cosmetic with the case and not getting one like mine that would keep things cooler.  I liked playing WoW because I never needed a high end machine like when I played all those new hip FPS games.

With the Canadian dollar surging, I'm hesitating into locking in anything else at the moment. Already pledged $650, and still more stuff to add. I barely looked at the bases, but I might get myself some flying bases/stands.

And I don't mind if my stuff ships early or later, as it always takes *too elf long*, no matter where it's being shipped from. [Grumble, grumble, Canada border customs services. Stop touching my stuff!]
