did I read somewhere that the new KS the white bones will be.a little darker, one of the reasons I did not buy any bones at retail for awhile was I could not see the detail very well in the packaging.  Now bear in mind my eyes are pretty bad without my reading glasses for detail

And this would be why so many of us do a wash of brown liner to start when painting Bones.  It helps you see the details so much better!

I'd like chime in that statistically, we have only had a 20% return rate of backers form previous projects, so while this is your experience, and I do not wish to dismiss or discount it, for 80% of our backers, this is their first Bones KS, and to them it is ALL new and exciting. Well, mostly, at any rate. We have a diverse customer base to anticipate the needs of, and prepare for, and that means that common fantasy races and themes are repeated often.

And technically, this is my first TRUE KS, as I missed the last one and bought the core set off Ebay::o: And extra sets of the chill out, wild west oz and savage worlds groups:) I am hoping the core set gets more cool stuff to woo me to buy it:) I am all down for the griffin, wraiths and dice though:) Heck I may even throw down for the trolls. If I don't use them, I can always sell em::P:

I love goblins, but it's a bummer that all the sculpts in the horde o' gobbos are so much less re-poseable than other bones goblins.  It's why I didn't order any extras of them in bones 3.  I love the Pathfinder goblins and even the OG bones goblins for how easy it is to mod them into unique poses.  One of my li'l pathfinder gobbos is even making an obscene gesture, bless his heart.

Yeah, I think the paint jobs will be the defining factor for individuality.

Although sculpt C (scimitar with shield) can be converted into throwing all sorts of gobliny things (molotov, bottle of eeew, severed head...)

I really hope I can get the pig and cart by themselves when they split up the core. Otherwise I'll be waiting for retail.

We have started to prefer getting heroes in metal for better detail. I agree with a lot of other people, I didn't need another set of Goblins in B3 and the same is true today. Other than checking all the boxes on missing dragons I don't need more generic dragons either.

So far looks like I'll be getting the crab/croc group by itself and the not-modrons. We are repeat backers but I haven't even bothered to put in my $1 pledge yet since there is no rush. So there might be a lot of former backers still sitting on the sidelines like me and that could be why the 20% seems low.

I'd love to get in on terrain but I suspect it will be more pieces like dragons don't share or bonehenge rather than terrain I could actually use regularly like resin bases. So we will see.

Wait, so if we paint a goblin blue we get a visit from the Magnificent Buglips?  Do we get multiple visits for multiple blue goblins?  Because, I'm thinking I might need to stock up on blue paint!

You might not be so enthusiastic to meet @buglips*the*goblin once you've been greeted by his stench.

Just saying.

But wait... I think I have painted a blue goblin...

*runs off, checks her AD&D Partha paints. *

*finds them all there*

*collapses and wipes forehead in relief*

...and caught up! (For only about a minute, I'm sure)

I managed to snag a wave 1, backer # 748 on my phone during lunch yesterday, woo-hoo!

So, gazebos are a thing?

And 20% of us are obsessed.

and HOLY FREAKIN' COW!!! A big ol' dragon in the core set!!

I'm in soooo much trouble; I like pretty much everything so far.

I'm not gonna complain about getting a veritable army of goblins, but... Would anyone be interested in a trade? I've got a real soft spot for the Pathfinder goblins!

Not sure if you were joking or not, and I'm not trying to give you a hard time, but if  you didn't know, selling/trading discussions aren't allowed on the forums.

Via PM's is ok, but Reaper assumes no responsibility for any such agreement between forum members.

Ooh this is a FABULOUS idea, I hadn't thought of thrown stuff!

The core set is looking more and more likely for me.  I love the armored gobbos, direcritters, all the various NPC's, and the minitaurs.  Oh and the rat ogre will be great for Blood Bowl.
