Yes, they're covered, but they are enhanced and pronounced. And, unless you're wearing latex, clothes don't typically cling to them like that. They look unnatural

So you're saying we are getting a terrain piece of a Frost Giant's Plastic Surgeon Clinic?

I’m pretty sure repeating the same disappointment over and over and over isn’t helping much of anything.

As someone who doesn’t visit the forum that often anymore this thread is really off putting.

Its one thing to say you want it to look like more like the concept art and more variety in female minis. It’s another to bash women with larger breasts for not being able to be warriors or do anything or somehow look like cheesecake full clothed from neck to foot.

I was happy to see a husky female mini who has a body similar to mine. Only her breasts are too small.

I also don't think the breasts are unaturally big or obscene or whatever. It looks proportionate to the rest of the figure, and on the left giant it looks as if they sag down a bit and rest on her belt, avoiding the weird "baloon" shape one associates with  breast implants.

One might be disappointed in the changes from the concept art, or that the poses are less imposing ^_^ But big breasts themselves do not equal cheesecake. And those giantesses, as far as I'm able to judge from the pictures given, are pretty close to my proportions. It's a far cry from the perfectly round larger-than-her-head breasts one might see in other miniatures.

I have to agree though that fabric or leather wouldn't snug to her sternum like that. Should be more of a tent shape. The Frost Giant queen standing besides her has more realistic clothing in that regard.

I dig the giantesses. Still happy to get them; I just wanted more Frost Giants anyway.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - never pledge for a miniature in a Kickstarter based solely on concept art.

I would disagree with you on why people are bashing the figures. We are not bashing the breasts. We are bashing the removal of armor for larger breasts than the art suggested.

I understand you feel like you are being attacked, but we wanted seriously armored female Giants.  The art had that. I flat out love the quilted armor covered by a tunic on the Ranger, and I thought there would be actual steel over the chest of the knight.

Nope.

It looks like the knight armored her knees up with layered steel then found a leather top to go over her steel stomach armor.  This is just stupid, and insulting.  I am sure that it was not intended to be insulting, but when they presented it as being in response to all the standing, or leaning silk wearing non-warrior giantesses, versus some dynamic, armored, badass male giants that have come out recently, then turn in these after taking everybody's money people are going to feel stupid and insulted.

I don't know about you but I feel really stupid right now.

My only recourse was I had been going to buy into the Darkreach expansion soon.  I will not be doing that.  Most of the figures I like are art I do not trust Reaper to make me feel stupid again so I will hold onto my money.  That and these posts are the limit of my power and I will continue to exercise that power for as long as I wish.

There’s multiple posts bashing the breast size and how they make her not fierce, not a warrior, get in the way, are too big, etc etc etc

If people feel so strongly then write and email to reaper explaining why you are disappointed and what you were hoping for.

Its too bad Reaper doesn’t do modular since some non gender specific giants with swapable heads would be cool. One with a beard and one more female presenting.

Can we calm this down a little? I really don't think that anybody intends to "bash" anyone else.

Someone saying that they are (or aren't) satisfied with the way that concept art has been translated into three dimensions really shouldn't be taken as a personal attack.

i'm not saying large breasts doesn't make a fierce warrior. There are many miniatures with large breasts AND appropriate armor to make them look like a warrior

i'm saying large breasts and such a lack of armor goes opposite of the tone these giantesses had

i don't mind large breasts on minis, but i DO mind when they're unarmored or scantily armored there is no feasible way they'd actually go into battle like that.

The fact they had to remove armor off these giantesses to add them is what bothers me. If they wanted to add more curvature to the minis, fine, but why remove the armor to do so? I LIKED the fact they had chest armor for once, a practical choice for people who actually fight.

Ditto.

I have no problem with cup size, I have a problem with the lack of armor and the sudden "at ease" pose.

They were supposed to be properly armored and ready for battle.

So how many people sent an email or asked for a refund? I know RedA asked.

Even if you know you can’t get a refund the more people who write an email or ask for a refund makes it more obvious how many people aren’t happy with the changes IMO.

Posting here let's them know we're unhappy, and it makes that information public. I have no doubt that there is a form email response that requires them to click a box to tell us "no you can't have your money back," and that it takes seconds to send and no one knows it happened unless it is shared. When I started a separate thread to have people publicly state their dissatisfaction with the loss of the caribou Reaper folded it into this thread, so this is obviously where they want such feelings expressed.

and we can also do both. I don't see why we have to do one or the other. It helps to vent our disappointment to each other as well, and it'll help me compose a more calm email to Reaper when i can vent my real feelings here.

I'm flat chested. I don't take it personally that 98% of female miniatures out there are huge busted and that is the only 'sexy' way to be female in this gaming world. I don't care about that. I don't care that according to the standards set by everything in the media and gaming and everywhere else, 'i'm not 'sexy'

what i DO care about is that 98% of those female miniatures out there are so horribly armored in spandex-armor that wouldn't do anything to protect them but shows maximum boobs, or in armor plates that have boob shaped bumps hammered into them for maximum boob exposure. I hate that. I really do. It makes 0 sense, it's only there so that they're 'sexy'

i just liked that FOR ONCE a miniature broke the mold of what is normal and sexy. They had armor. I don't care what size the boobs underneath were. They had actual ARMOR. For battle. Real armor that covered them like armor would. Not spandex-armor that contoured to their bodies unrealistically, not boob shaped breastplate to show off as much as possible

they had real armor, they looked like real actual warriors, and i liked it.  That is what people had been asking for.

And then Reaper does a 180, removes the armor, to show maximum boob and gives them contour spandex armor. The very thing i despise in female miniatures but have to deal with anyways because no one wants to make a real woman warrior apparently, and if i want to paint or use a female miniature i have to use what is standard, aka large and unarmored boobs on an otherwise armored female warrior

it just sucks that they decided to go so far away from what they had shown us, from what people had asked for.

I'm not trying to personaly attack you. I could take every big busted woman miniature as a personal attack against my figure, but i don't. I care about the fact they took something that was different, that was unique and new, that was often requested by fans...and turned it into more of the same that 98% of the genre already is.

I didn’t say people had to do one or the other.

It just looks like people want to repeat the same complaint on the forum and that’s it.

if people are so concerned and upset I guess I don’t understand why no one can take a few minutes to organize an email subject like for everyone to use, post it here and in the comments and say “hey we are sending emails voicing concerns”

I know there are a few folks that do Bolt Action and similar 28mm wargaming (@buglips), so I thought I'd bounce this out there.

      https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tftb/world-war-ii-soviet-railroad?ref=discovery_recommendations

      Story
Railroads are an important means to transport troops, equipment, ammunition and all other kinds of supply to the front. Especially in a country as vast as the Soviet Union with it's endless steppes, only few reliable roads and no major rivers running in the direction of the German advance during Operation Barbarossa in World War II.
With this set of detailed buildings and rolling stock in 1/56 scale for 28mm figures you get the opportunity to recreate the crucial fighting around the Soviet railroad system.
The kits focus on the major pieces of rolling stock available to the Soviet defenders: box cars, gondola cars and flat cars. And the mighty ALCo RSD-1 Diesel Engine which was made available under the US Lend-Lease Act.
Also included is a typical rural train station with optional additional platforms for all who want to depict a Soviet - or captured German - supply depot, where heavy equipment like tanks and guns are being unloaded.
And for all of you looking for an armored train - don't worry! We have you covered.
        Talking about railroad tracks:
We did not see the need to reinvent the wheel, so all kits are designed to be used with
4Ground Railroad Tracks (available as add-ons to the Kickstarter) or O Gauge Model Railroad Tracks The kits include optional parts enabling you to choose your favorite system while assembling. Going this route has allowed us to concentrate on designing and producing the rolling stock only, which has the advantage of an earlier fulfillment date for the Kickstarter.
All models are highly detailed on the outside and inside. The interiors are easily accessible, as roofs are removable. In addition, all doors are moveable, which means you can open or close them during gameplay.

A Viking Girl sculpted by Bobby Jackson. She was a lot of fun to paint since she had a lot of canvas for freehand work. She is also my first serious effort at NMM, so that's a well I plan to return to.

I came to paint her when I asked my friends which model needed to get some love next. I presented a wizard, a ranger, and an armored lady fighter. One chimes in that she'd like to see the fighter (she being a practitioner of HEMA). Her boyfriend mentions something about boob armor. I said, no, she's got pretty normal armor. You want to see something egregious? THIS is egregious. My HEMA friend immediately says, "I'd like to change my vote." So here we are.

Here's the WIP thread for her. Here's my next piece.

This has sod all to do with miniatures, but I would be surprised if there were not people who might want one of these pins, for literally any reason at all.
I'll let the campaign speak for itself, as I usually do; it is pins. There are, as the title implies, representations for most of the common faiths, in a literal rainbow of ... well, Pride rainbows.
