At this point, based upon how many of my minis  from Bones 1, 2, and 3 have been painted, my Bones 4 figures will be painted by my granddaughters. :B):

I looked through my stash of Bones 2 minis yesterday and can proudly say that I painted about ... 50 of them (in addition to other minis like Zombicide etc). I have painted one or two minis from Bones 3 ... so ... I can't wait for Bones 4 to arrive ;)

The barge is great, I might add another one so I have two: one to leave in the original state, the other to see if any and how much bash-kitting is possible.

Someday I will paint dragons don’t share and the worlds biggest undead dragon lol.

out of curiosity, where do people put their HUGE models? Do you have a designated shelf? I have a display cabinet but it’s an antique and I think a dragon would take up  half the shelf.

Honestly, when they arrive and get painted.... I have no idea. I'll be living in a shoebox. Good chance some will have to go on my ceiling.

I’m  trying really hard to resist getting more, because the Harryhausen fan in me wants to have the marble statues, the bronze ones, the golden ones, the silver ones, etc....

Remember that the Greeks are thought to have painted their marble statues to be more realistic looking. (The world's first maxiatures.)

I wonder how smooth their blends were?

I think they need to be painted as gaudy mosaics at least once :poke:

Gosh that that would be fun to try....

Paint? No, for a mosaic look, you should really use glitter, applied one bit at a time.

It's the Vegas way.

::D:

With glitter,.... interesting....

Most of them live on my mantel.   My Spawn are allowed to play with those, as long as they are returned.

The PF dragon fits in the small display cabinet on my desk. (middle shelf) - it has elaborate/delicate basing.

The DDS dragon has moved to the mantel and the kingdom death Phoenix perches on top the case instead.

At the moment all of my minis big and small live on tv trays set up in the corner of my gaming room, where the DM sits so he can grab anything he needs....

Of course, when Bones 4 gets here I'll be more than tripling the number of minis, and more than octupling (8x) the number of large and above minis... so I plan on setting up shelves in the GM's corner of the room to hold all of the minis.. I'm thinking the shelves will start roughly a foot away from each window at the height of the TV trays and go up by a foot or a foot and a half per shelf. The huge ones will probably all end up on one of the higher shelves/the top shelf.

I haven't painted any of my large minis. For one thing, I'm moving in less than a year, so I don't fancy just packing them away after they've been put together and painted. And when I do get them together and painted, I'd like to have one (or more) of those nice IKEA glass shelves to put them in. I do have a wide wall shelf that they could fit in now. But... above listed issues.

FYI, Craigslist and Swip-Swap groups are great for things like Detolf display cases and Kallax storage shelves.

Those store my board games, and my display minis.

I am planning to get more Kallax shelves along with Alex drawers for storing my plano trays of minis and my terrain.

The only good thing about being made to traipse around IKEA with my dear wife is that I get to plan more units to store figures in.

Oh, and buy meatballs and gravlax!
