completed Reaper Bones 4: Enthusiasm and Commentary Thread

I went for the skeletal dragon. seems to be a practical upgrade. We've seen skeletal dragons painted up in so many cool ways it'd be a shame not to.

 

plus, this one has an open rib cage - imagine all the cool gaming and modeling potential there! Skellies inside! No, plants! No, fire! Treasure! etc.

 

The only thing that worries me is its sprawling stance. the base is about 8 inches/ 20cm, so it is going to need a custom oval of some sort, or some serious repositioning.

I think I have locked in all my purchases. 

 

With the extension of the PM, I am considering getting another Darkreach expansion, or maybe getting the Lost Valley expansion.

 

It's mostly FOMO re Lost Valley. I can't imagine a scenario where I'll need dinos and cave orcs, but what if I do and I don't have them? 

 

On the other hand, all those mushrooms and an extra Fungal Queen!

See, I'm good on the dinos and cave orcs. What I know I'm gonna need more of is huts. Once they're released I need to get at least 5 more. Have a proper little village.

I've never painted a dino, or anything much bigger than a person (except some terrain, but that's a whole different thing than figures), but I will probably have to try a bunch of different patterns for them.

I already know what's going to happen. Next paycheck, I'll *make" a decision. And I'll get another Darkreach, but then the pay check after that I'll worry I made the wrong decision, and the one after that, I'll lock in Lost Valley and just end up getting both.

I love it.

I paint a lot of Dinos and Reptilians/ Amphibians for my Lost World and I have more then once looked at your stuff.

Due to real life I dropped out of mini painting for a while.

I am still on my $1 pledge, and I loved the Bones 3 minis I got last year. 

 

I have until July 31st to return to the Bones 4 fold. Convince me...or not...
