I promised my spouse I would look at each and every one of the minis, then put them in a box and probably never look at them again

My spouse, who is also usually the DM, promised ... threatened? ... that if we got a mini and I painted it that he would find a use of it in a game.

He has actually already requested the Owlbear be one of the first.  Plus atm there's a standing request for all the ogre/giants for pathfinder Runelords game being run.

But NEVER when Grump is here. She always waits until he has left, and finds a crayon or a miniature, or a toothpaste cap and puts it up her right nostril, never the left.

 

Grump says she may be itching in there, but I think she is just trying to confuse me. She does that a lot.

 

I grabbed her once when she was heading to the cat box with intent.

I don't know the official answer for the Kickstarter, but if you look at recent Bones restocks, they are distinctly less bright white than the original production runs. I don't think that change went with any particular material change - I think it was mostly about making the details easier to see / photograph.

 

As an aside, does the sword strapped along the sample mini's back in that photo look distinctly crooked to anybody else? It seems like there is a pretty substantial bend in  it.

It's bent. Hopefully the water trick will fix. They're still plastic so it should be alright. Can't say for sure until we see them, but if they're anything like firm game board minis it will be fine.

Does anyone know (or was it answered before and I just forgot) if the miniatures that will be shipped from GB will go through Texas? Or will they be sent to GB directly from China?
