It's been asked before, but what's the first thing you're planning on working on when it arrives?

 

Me, I'm thinking either the bandits, the pumpkin cart, or the flail snail!

Firs thing I'm doing INVENTORY!!! & I'm gonna take my time with it. I've got a ton of minis coming. No Core & no multiples, so at least I'll have that. I guess maybe it depends if I need something for my Monday night game. I try to get paint on things for that.

I'll be doing inventory too, after that... my brain says "do the bandits, you need those for your Waterdeep game" my heart says "BABA YAGA! DRAGONS! ROC" and basically all of the things I wont need for quite some time

I'm thinking about those wraiths.  But there are a lot of good choices.

Yah, ole Treebeard is rapidly climbing to the top of my want to do pile, thou more then likely the entire order will get tossed into the rest of the Bones pile I have in what you'd call a filing system....

I *should* probably paint the barge first, since my group's campaigns always seem to need a ship at some point. But I will likely paint the djinni or the lady ruler of hell first. After inventory and sorting, of course :)

I am thinking wraiths as well. I plan on having two sets of NOT ring wraiths (time to put those Bones III weapon sprues to good use). Put first, yah, inventory! I need to start burning through stuff and get em done and TRY and sell em off painted:)

I'll start with all the mushrooms and myconids from the Darkreach expansion. Fun to paint, unusual colors, and we're in the Underdark a lot.

I'm most looking forward to painting Nyarlathotep so I might start with that one.  However I am currently painting Khanjira so I might have to paint a couple smaller figures to take a break from the large models.

First thing I'm doing is make sure nobody's watching and do a happy dance. then I'll promptly inventory and sort them.

Even though it's not mine (got it for a co-worker), I'll likely be painting this mini as well. Or maybe not, I am still waiting for him to green light his mansions of madness commission he wanted.

It depends on when the minis get here. And how much time I have free. I might leap into Gauth. Or I might end up needing to toss together a pile of goblins. Or I might end up in the middle and go for da piggy. Or the stone dogs out of Fan Favorites. I haven't painted a decent Stone D00d in a while.

Will probably paint townsfolk/dread mere/ ship first. Then maybe dire animals.

Townsfolk definitely getting painted up, they're so useful for husband's D&D games

 

i have 2 DoDs coming, and I think i finally decided on the colors for one, so i'll start that soon after
