I think you missed the update.  There are two containers in customs and a container still in China.

 

They may try to fly the last container though which is good news!

You're correct, I didn't see the update. No one posted a link to it here, either... (it's HERE for those interested in direct linking).

 

I'm a little PO'd now. The last few updates indicated that everything was fine and all crates had already shipped:

Update 114: "There is no update to the information we shared last week.   Our final container will be shipping the first part of February. This means we expect to receive it the first week of March. This means we won’t be able to begin fulfillment in February as planned."

Update 115 "Things are still status quo with our warehouses running out of space and containers on the water."

We were lead to believe that Update 115 indicated that the final container due to be shipped in the "first part of February" was now "on the water" and no one disabused us of this idea. Now, a full month later and the last crate didn't actually leave China at all.

 

Look, I'm cranky about this. It's poor communication, and it's one thing to say "well, it's only a month late" but that's because Reaper gave themselves as much lead time as Bones 3 including it's extreme lateness. They basically built in the lateness from Bones 3 as a default assumption, and they're at least a month late in addition to the, what, 8-9 months that Bones 3 was late? I'll probably just need to calm down, but it's frustrating. Update 115 was vague, didn't provide much information, and seems to have largely been a waste of all of our time at this point. I'm signing off for the day, but colour me disappointed in how they've managed to mess this one up too.

Nope, you weren't rude at all.

 

Then again, this might push delivery into warmer months which will be better for those of us who got paint.

I'm a little peeved too.  As much as I want them as soon as possible, more importantly I just want their best estimate they can give on when they expect to start fulfillment. No hard date needed, just a general idea. Two weeks? A month? Two?

 

By the sound of the last two updates it was early march, but this one throws that for a loop, with nothing to help gauge time. How long does it usually take containers to make it through customs? They've had enough coming through recently they should have a ballpark figure. 

 

I'm running a campaign right now and am rapidly approaching sections that will be infinitely better with a large number of the minis I pledged for through this kickstarter. I'm just looking for enough info to gauge how many obstacles I need to plan to throw up in front of them to slow them from reaching that point until the shipment gets here. (I'm wave 1, so hopefully very shortly after they start fulfillment)

 

Side note: I just finished building the structure of my second bookshelf for minis in anticipation of bones 4 (I... may have bought nearly one of everything... and two of some things... three of others, and 7 of each set of statues :D ) I'll be setting up the shelves soon..

Read the update comments, something Reaper posted there that if they had included and clarified in the update would answer a lot of questions. In the last container that Reaper was waiting on and talking about in the updates was loaded with restock items instead of the last four models. This would be a mistake on the factory not Reaper's estimate of timeline.

I think that's another container, as the commenter asking wanted to know what was in the container seen in the video. We have no idea when the video was shot.

 

From my understanding, two containers are in customs, and the mystical last container, who as per Update #115 had already been shipped, is still in China.

Just keeping my fingers crossed that they are able to fly the last of the items over.  That would really help to get things back on closer to track and I think would help ease some worries.

I have to say, I am disappointed too. In Reaper live they said delivery is a matter of weeks or A month, not quarters... That does not alleviate my disappointment. So now we are looking at an April Delivery (at best).

 

Still excited that we are close, but I had thought with the 18 month padded delivery that we would finally get one on time... :(

How so months? The transit from west coast (should unless gov't elfs it up) take a week or two...IF they fly the last one in (which is what people seem to think "other delivery options" means) we'd still easily be in March.

However, as I got paints, i'm ok with pushing later into spring as less chance of arctic temps freezing them

This is assuming that they fly the last container over.  Plus it would still need to go through customs which would make it closer to 3+ weeks (by the time it is actually loaded and shipped and a week or two in customs then trucked to Texas). 

 

If flying doesn't end up being an option and it is sent by sea it could very well be 5-6 weeks (at best) before Reaper even gets the items.  Then items need to packed and sent to UK and Australia.  This could easily push it into a May delivery.

And Europeans are looking at even longer times I guess ... I like Reaper as a company, but with all the experience they should have (and all the extra time they gave themselves), this is a disappointment, especially because I feel they were not clear enough in their updates.

For me its difficult, because I am moving back home sometime in  may. I was hoping to have this stuff all sorted instead of having to worry if my inlaws are going away and there'll be nobody to receive a package 1 mailbox key.

By flying in the last items, Reaper can bypass the west coast and go straight to the customs office in Texas, reducing the amount of time needed. The biggest delay at west coast ports is the shear volume of containers to inspect.
