99% Sure they said the legs would be removable, and tbh, it makes sense from a manufacturing perspective, I doubt the feet would be part of the same mold as the bottom of the house

I do think it is worth noting that Kickstarters have an **estimated** fulfillment date. An estimate is not exact. We should not expect it to be exact. It isn't Amazon Prime delivery. 

 

Also: I want flying cabbage minis. 

 

I wouldn't mind clearer updates either. At the same time, I keep reminding myself that Reaper can't give us good information if they aren't getting good information, and ... well, everything is fine until it isn't, apparently. Like last year. :/

I can't lay the blame for that one at Reaper's door. 

 

I have no idea what I'm painting first. I might end up painting a death of Wraiths, or plotting the ever-lovin' heck out of a courting flight, or ... I'unno. Might be I paint Gauth. Going to depend on what's going down. ^^;

I wouldn't count those chickens before they hatch.  From what they said in the Live it sounds like they are having meetings with shippers to see when they can get it here.  I take this as a sign that they don't have a shipping date for the last container and are just doing their best to ask nicely that the last container ends up on a ship in the near future. 

Sounds like it is really out of Reaper's hands and they are doing their best but they are at the whim of the shippers.  I would guess it will be here before the 6 month past due date but it still may be a while.

It is disappointing it will probably be delayed by a month or two. But its not like I'll instantly start painting them all. I have bones from 1-3 I still have to work on. The excitement of being so close to finally getting them is great, but its stuff I wont work on for a while. I was more anxious about getting some Vallejo Texture mud and sand, stuff I will constantly use for basing (especially over pre-based bones). So I can wait. (seriously, splurged and got Brown Earth, then Dark Earth, then Desert sand, Grey Sand, European Mud and Industrial Mud.......look its 200ml a container, that's 17 GW texture paints, but for only $13). Also it seems normal for China to cause the last one to go out way later than the others. Chinese New Year being a whole month doesn't help. I do wish Reaper would just come out and say, its going to be delayed 'Low to high guess range'. Being cryptic doesn't make me feel better.  Also I'm wave 3....so.....I have to wait anyway even when they start shipping. Its not like we won't get our minis. But the longer we wait the more curious I am to what happened, than when do we get them. For example, I had one thing ordered, shipped from Washington to Florida......I live in Oregon. I was more curious on the why than when will I get my item.

 

But seriously, for those who don't know. Vallejo Texture paints are awesome. For comparison the Pumice is the size of the GW texture, with earth then sand being smaller. Black Magic Craft has a great review video regarding them

I know someone else brought it up a few pages ago, but somehow it's all moving too fast to quote appropriatly.

 

Having a short update like "container is on the water" or "container arrived in customs" or "we decided to put container into plane" would help curb speculation and with it, disappointment. 

With two weeks to go between updates at this stage of the game it's always a bit of Schrödingers container, were it is and isn't on it's way to the US. We saw that a lot just before CNY, when everyone was hoping and calculating, and now again. It also makes it, idk, feel more disappointing with all the build up for the two week update if there is nothing new or bad news. For example, a lot of people are hoping/thinking that the last container will travel by air, since that was kinda implied in the last update. If that option is already out the window (which I would understand, sounds expensive), I'd rather have a small update saying "sorry, it's not gonna happen" than going into the big update with that expectation. But idk, maybe experience has shown that people get even more anxious and angry with such smaller updates instead of the bundled outrage every two weeks.

 

I really like the update schedule for the phase of the project where there was nothing really new to tell while Reaper was having the miniatures produced. It was always exciting to see new pictures.

After spending some time getting ready for a Frostgrave game this weekend, I'm really wishing I had those frogs from the dreadmere set...

Oh, gosh, yes!  So much there I’m wishing I had for Ghost Archipelago too!   

 

Dire Penguins... the possibilities are endless, but 4 hardly seems enough to do anything proper.

 

However, might be fun to have them snow sliding on their bellies like little pinballs across the frozen city.  Randomize an entry point and a direction, and let them go!  Need some rules for when they careen off obstacles and go a different direction; and then have them take out any figure they come in contact with (dropping treasure, Pushing perhaps, doing injury?) until they exit the table only to enter again form a different location.

I made an order last night so the efreeti is on her way to me!  

 

I thought that since Bones IV is coming up I should make an order to get the warehouse people warmed up and ready to go but to also give myself a practice run to make sure my process of opening boxes runs smoothly.  

 

Although I am wondering how to explain to my wife why I am ordering from Reaper when I keep telling her about the couple hundred 20 minis that should be coming in soon.
