Would be interesting to know if/how much plans from other companies (like WotC) influence Reaper's decision making. Them going to a more tropical/prehistoric place with their next adventure will probably increase the potential sales for Dinos.

 

My own personal impression is that Frogomoth was more popular than I expected. I have no idea what the official Observed / Expected popularity of Frogomoth was.

This is reminding me of the Bones 1 (or was it Bones 2) drawing of a gazebo riding a kaiju riding something else silly. Pretty much most of the suggestions that were popular at the time all piled into one. I wish I could find @naponatom's image. It was awesome.

Yes, but remember that you'll need a second Ma'aldrakar to go with the metallic set as well.

You are seeing a Master Copy, not a production copy, produced in a dark resin. This is the proof of concept copy, a sister copy from the same resin cast, but unassembled, will be sent to China to have molds made.

Not saying you're wrong, but the forums and KS comments tend to be a bad place to pull reliable data from. People that spend their free time discussing a hobby on forums regularly tend to be pretty invested in that hobby and probably already own a lot of miniatures, so naturally they are looking for uniqueness rather than bulk. So we're kinda in an echo chamber here.

 

Also, a few very unique, fun creatures in the mix will probably sell reasonably well, but having a whole campaign with super unique creatures would probably have problems attracting new backers and miniature novices. I would be surprised if we don't get something very unique in this KS though.

 

To me, the Undying Lords of the last KS kinda represent the sweet spot. Skeletons of different races haven't been done before, so a lot of vetarans still get something new and exciting, but they're also super usable for everyone else, since Skeletons tend to appear often in games.

Wouldn't be surprised if those did well.
